We will get chances for sure. It's our decision making that's the major issue.

All of the results have gone our way to take advantage of it. Got draw written all over it!!!!!!

We’re not catching City, so will be more than happy with a draw.

A point gained on Leicester/West Ham and stay 6 clear of Chelsea.

    4-0
    Bruno 2
    Martial 1
    Rashford 1
I love this! And really, I think once Martial gets one in, things start going up for him. You can tell by his face, he's not in a good place.

I'm thinking this as well y'know.

I think Ole might go with the back 3/5, to match Chelsea but also to add extra protection to the depleted pivot.

    Something like this maybe.

    De Gea
    Bailly Maguire Lindelof
    Wan-Bissaka VDB Fred Shaw
    Fernandes
    Greenwood Rashford

Hopefully Cavani makes the bench. Then if we want to be a bit more adventurous later on we can bring on Telles and Cavani for Lindelof & Greenwood.
Been wondering about this, too. He hasn't done it in while. My only thing is, I might pull Lindelof out, move Shaw back, and put Telles in at right wing, though Telles put did put in a full match on Thursday.

I would take a draw. I would be much more confident if Pogba were playing.

A win, though, would be massive as it would put us 9+ points clear of all the 5th place clubs. Mathematically that would be huge with 12 matches left. If we get just half of those points, 18, a team 9 points back would need 27 points, or an average of 2.25 points per match.

    Let's go Utd!

I know our approach is all long-term these days... so in the grand scheme of things today's game is not all that....

But when you look at the league table as it stands today, right now as we head into this game, It would be the BIGGEST three points of the season if we were to get them.

We would put a stretch of nine points between us in second, and fifth place if we are to win. A loss would put just four points between us and fifth place.

Effectively a five-pointer in terms of Champions League qualification.

Played six and haven't won a game yet. Scored one goal, a penalty. Shocking record which unfortunately I do not see changing today.

I think that not beating a big 6 side might be a thing for this season, hard to see a win today or next week at City which then only leaves away to Spurs and at home to Liverpool left this season

I genuinely did not realise they are only 6 points behind us currently and will be 3 if they beat us, i was nervous already but now shitting it :nervous:

If we win this I can see us go on a good run, if we loose then i can see us going into even worse form with very low confidence

Really would be a terrible game to lose this one. Tightens it all up if we do, big opportunity to make some space between us and the chasing pack, can we please please not waste it.

Great opportunity to create some daylight between 2nd place and the top 4 race today but I fear we'll be let down once again by one of De Gea, Maguire or Lindelof.

Didn’t we knock in a couple v Leicester? Or are they not counted?

This game feels like a free hit given the other results today. Let's go out there and play with courage and without fear. Huge opportunity to lock down top 4 and stay (nominally) in the title race. If we lose with a decent performance it's not a huge deal.

    Dan James starting......

    Lord above....:wenger::rolleyes:

He's playing well though. No harm giving starts to players in form. His confidence is high right now and he's probably going up against Alonso which means he will get chances.

Seen that mctominay has been passed fit. Anyone confirm or is it bollocks

    Lord above....:wenger::rolleyes:
What’s wrong with that? The lad has been growing in confidence the last few games. He’s earned the right to start so save the moaning till the first occasion he doesn’t score a worldie

Is this going to be another Fred/McT game? And now with James starting, because of his tracking back abilities, we're definitely sitting back from the start. So tired of this. Try something else in big games, we've lost too many this year doing this strategy.

James over Martial is a move we should've made ages ago. Hopefully its the case today.

In case you haven't seen it we're a bit light in the options department.

Think our time to experiment in these games was earlier in the season when results wouldn't have been as important but decided not to

    Hopefully its this
    Greenwood

    Rashford Bruno James
    Fred Mctominay
    Shaw Maguire Bailly AWB

    De Gea

The traditional big 6 of City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs.

A bit harsh on the other teams I know but I always see these as the top teams in the league.

What big games have we lost using this strategy this season out of interest?
