These guys seem to get it wrong more than they get it right.

Chelsea are set up to be counter-attacked, an area where United flourish, but it's hard to make a case for an away win when all angles are assessed. Like most meetings between the big boys this season, it's bound to be a tactical and very cagey affair with Chelsea dominating possession. One goal will probably do it for Tuchel.

Weirdly, not being full strength may be in Ole's favour here.

He's got a great record against the big clubs when having to scrape a side together. Not so when we're at full strength/onus is on to assert ourselves.

Even with Tuchel as their new boss I would have been confident with a full team but with no Pogba, Sauce and Donny and maybe no Cavani Im not looking forward to this one at all.

Things have developed throughout the day. Certainly, yesterday, both Cavani and McT were definitely out.

I actually had the impression Pogba was closer to a return ("traning on grass") than those 2.

It’s the question he’s been asking himself. TBH I know there’s been over hype with Amad but he’s shown more exciting moments in what 34 minutes than Donny has all season. There is a good player in there but it’s about time he took some responsibility and showed it

Don’t know. Apparently he plays well in some kind of 8.278 attacking mid role, but we don’t have this kind of role here.

That's the thing, right? Even with all our injuries, where does he play? I could see him maybe with Fred as one of the two holders, but probably not in a game this important against a good Chelsea midfield.

It could also be a question of match rhythm. I think Donny has shown some real class in flashes but he's always in and out of the team which I think is bound to impact on his performance levels as well as his confidence. Would be really interesting to see how he would do if he got 10 or 15 starts in a row. I think we can't make a real judgement about him until we see that.

I think it might be a 4-3-3 / 4-4-2 Diamond.
Ole has tended to go with 2 creative types (Bruno/Pogba) and 2 goal-scoring forwards (Rashford/Cavani) in the 'big' games.
It could be James instead of Greenwood if fit - he will help more with tracking Alonso leaving AWB to concentrate on Werner.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see Tuanzebe at DM again. Especially if Rashford and Greenwood are our only attackers. It could help us to go with a diamond or 5 at the back in order to get VdB onto the pitch.

Fred and Matic alone don't inspire much confidence.

I just can’t see Chelsea scoring more than a goal max. They lack that killer player in attack. I’d always fancy us to score one so for that reason I’d say Utd win.

Martial is available, Bruno is available. VDB sounds almost certainly available to me. James is a maybe.

We have injuries but you're overselling it. Two players who would be in our 'best' starting XI are out: Pogba/McT (we wouldn't play both together normally) and Cavani.

With pogba Scott and mata injured we are looking a bit thin on cover for midfield. DVB needs to take his chance now But will he get picked? Unlikely.

I reckon we saw Ole trying out his answer to this question against Sociedad. I think he'll start with Matic and Fred in a normal formation, and if for any reason we need to make a change Tuanzebe will come in. The way Matic plays in that midfield he often almost functions as a third CB anyway, and that would obviously suit Tuanzebe too. But on paper I think it'll be four at the back.

I think we have CL qualification sewn up if we win, but worry that we have been so limp in big games and are coming into this with serious injuries.
