    For me, I’d go with the diamond again. Whoever is at the tip to mark Jorginho.

    Alonso bombs forward a lot but also leaves a lot of space in behind, I’d have Rashford drift over to the right coming in and Lukaku against Azpi.

    Think I’d probably play Pogba at #10 and give Fred the game time in midfield ahead of PSG.

    I’d drop Young and play Bailly at RB.

    I agree the closer we play him to goal the better.
     
    FA Cup so I expect a few changes, Romero & Jones coming in. Sanchez & Lukaku starting due to injuries to Lingard & martial as well as them starting FA Cup game at the emirates

    Personally, I'd flood midfield (probably 451 else 352). Keep things tight, focus on Hazard (hopefully ref doesn't fall for the cheating diving git), try and break.

    For a little positivity, our away record wasn't always thus..... man, the 99 squad was fecking wonderful? Talented, hard working, tough (mentally and physically), winners...

    I wonder what his role is for United's first team. He's had a better season than Chong, but Chong gets picked over him. This implies that Chong is a better fit for Ole's system in the eyes of Ole. If it's due to size, I struggle to think what changes in the future as Chong is very skinny right now and him getting stronger only helps his case, because Gomes isn't going to grow any taller.

    Not like I'm upset if that's the case. I prefer to develop Gomes as a midfielder.

    Fred would not be part of a "stronger midfield". CFC have a better squad, but our form is better than theirs.

    Who man marks Jorginho?
     
    Sanchez hasn’t done anything this season to suggest he even deserve a start at Stamford Bridge tonight, except for the 2 injuries. You know what you’ll get with Sanchez, lots of energy but, loads of misplaced balls, dissposessed loads and general bad play.
    Same from Lukarthorse! Bags of engery, but poor control, poor first touch and no threat to the Chelsea goal.

    Rashford is our main man, lets start him up top.

    Chelsea always seem to raise their game against us too. Despite being bummed 6-0 last week, somehow tonight they’ll turn into prime Barcelona.

    Agree with this - our alternative/ big game shape. If we don’t get pinned back in a deep shape it should suit all of Sanchez, Lukaku and Rashford more than any other setup.

    Would love to see Chong play some minutes, or at least make it onto the bench. Don't know much about his general ability, except that he's fairly skilful and very quick. Alonso is very dodgy defensively, so I could see Chong doing a bit of damage if he does play.

    Someone has to do a job on Jorginho, and I don't think it should be Herrera (as then he won't be alongside Matic for the extra protection) or Pogba (as we need him free to do his creative stuff). Mata's best performance of the season came at the Bridge, so no reason why he can't repeat it tonight.
     
    On Full Time Devils the other day they were going on as if Sanchez was injured.

    That ref's assistant ran into him didn't they, but he's fine to play. Solksjaer has been bigging him up, so he needs a big performance tonight (well, at least a non-anonymous performance)

    Mata definitely wouldn't be able to carry out that role, however I agree it's necessary. Perhaps Fred could do that job? Seems to be a bit quicker, as well as being more aggressive.
     
    I think we should play Sanchez as striker with rashford on the left. Sanchez isn’t a threat anymore with all the pace he has lost.

    Mata carried out that role really well in the last game against them? But yeah, Fred would also be a good candidate for the role.

    It's incredibly annoying - I'm playing football until 7:40, so i'll probably be watching on a half hour delay.

    I wonder if the BBC are preempting ET + penalties and don't want it going on too late?
