This sort of comment was being made a lot last season.
People need to realise that winning the EL is damn difficult. And for a club of our level (ie. losing a lot, draws to Stoke, loses to Watford, Feyenoord, etc), it is almost impossible. I don't even think we will make the SF stage of that competition.
Our best bet is to try and get top 4, by hammering lesser teams and drawing against better teams.To be fair, if you concede after 30 seconds, it's no longer a normal match. Herrera partnering Pogba in midfield with Carrick covering would be so much better.
Throwing on Mata for a tiring Lingaard might just salvage us something.Three games in seven days is killing us. We dont look fresh. Fellaini looks dead and pogba to an extent, as do some of the backs. Doestnt help when you concede after thirty seconds, but we look absolutely knackered.Fellaini's not been as shite as Blind and Smalling.
I wouldn't be against seeing the back of Smalling tbh. Overrated on here by most. Being tall and quick is not good enough for United.

Smalling and Blind both looked very shaky. Fellaini looks completely out of it. In general, our team just lacks the purpose to win 50/50s - we're losing so many duels.
Still, by magic, we were able to create 3 great chances. But no, of course we shank them. Crap finishing play. We struggle to be effective, which is a concern. Especially in games like this, when a goal could've been crucial.
Also, two big chances against on set pieces. Thats just poor concentration as well.

Been saying this for years. I just don't see what other people do.Mata Martial Carrick at half time for Fellaini Lingard and Ibra or die....We're a bit shit. A midfield three of Pogba, Fellaini and Herrera is lopsided. Especially as it looks like Fellaini is playing where Pogba should be, and I don't even know what Pogba is doing. Herrera's not been great either, but willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, as he's doing what Carrick used to have to do and be a one man midfield.
Blind is having a mare. Chelsea have had like 5-6 chances. Every game is lost on individual errors...Mistakes happen in every game, but at the end of the day you have to score more than the opposition and how we setup tactically for it is down to the manager.Time to bring on Messi...I mean Martial.
