What the hell is Donaldson's hair doing?

I'm sure this is wonderful for the Cambridge players and regular fans, but I'd say there's a fair few fair weather fans in there acting billy big bollocks with the 'we support our local team' stick, how many of them will be watching their next few League 2 games though. (No idea what their attendance is).

Oh well, fair play to the Cambridge lads it's well deserved, they've done themselves proud might as well enjoy it.

Don't even want to talk about us so just gonna be positive about them, huge financial windfall for them.

Very true mate. It's a Nasty mixture at the moment :-)

Yeah its just a load of shit atm. But i got all the trust that time will make the difference.

Despite not looking like improving atm.

Keep faith bro, despite being arrogant LvG is still one of the best coaches ever and has dealt with situations like this plenty of times.

The mentality of some of these players is woeful. Valencia always turns back, puts responsibilty on the back of the next player, if he is forced to cross the ball he puts zero thought into it. Carrick should see what can actually happen if he plays a forward pass, the first one he made after an hour created a golden chance for Falcao. Phil Jones can't pass, but he seems to think he is the player to make the hard passes, much like Blackett when he comes on. The conditions were awful, these games are never easy but there are some players there that should grow some balls.

They must be happy coming to the Theatre of dreams with high heads. We are having a real trouble and there will be no quick fix from what I have seen tonight. Shame.

Someone needs to make a shirt that says "Keep Calm and 3-5-2 on"

Dick em in the second leg hopefully. Would play a few fringe players. Di Maria and Falcao looked like they didn't know what to do in that game.

How is this Louis fault? He played a 4-4-2 everyone was sure our problems would be fixed. He gave what everyone asked for, it was his fault our players can't make up their mind in the final third and that our world class strikers don't make use of their very little chances and get no service? No it isn't.

Yes. And they took a chance after another to grow some balls and they never did. When enough is enough?!

    fark sake.

rubbish game, Cambridge offered nothing bar a couple of "stand everyone in close to the keeper" corners, we offered only slightly more.
    awful conditions.

    auto cup scheme...dammit

Van Gaal. Bullshit. fergie would have played the kids and won 3-0. He doesn't know his best 5 never mind 11

They defended with 10 men behind the ball from minute 25 onwards. If they're going to sit that deep it's imperative that you have more movement off the ball to try and stretch them out of position. I wish we'd look more lively. Nothing new there though.

Forget that the opposition was a League Two side for a second, our players were so poor technically. There were far too many unforced errors that just obliterated any promising build up play. Heavy touches, misplaced passes, poor crosses should not be happening.

Too many panzy fans in this forum. This is the FA Cup. I've been watching for nearly three decades now and these sort of things always happen every year. It's either us or some other team. We had a poor night and they put every man in defence.

Get over it. We'll smash 'em at Old Trafford as we should and move onto the league.
Agree 100% with the first paragraph. Not sure about the second one.

Embarrassing and shameful performance. Fellaini, Jones and Carrick should hang their heads...shit bastards.

Special mention to Phil Jones for being utterly clueless...can't pass it 5 yards but is our dead-ball specialist! Makes me want to weep!

So fecking what.. A couple of years ago we lost to some lower league side with Ronaldo AND ROONEY on the side.. Move on to Leicester from which I want a bloody slaughter.. 5-3 fcuk off..

The red thinker it is the FA CUP, but this has been the story of our season and that is obvious to anyone. The players need to show some intelligence and they're not. There's respecting Cambridge and there is digging yourself into a hole. We have these great strikers but no one wants to supply them. The tempo is awful. What they're being told is bullshit. If you have that much of the ball, you want to be creating at least 10 chances but every time it's the same excuses.

We have new young classy midfielders (Blind & Herera) never play them in midfield except out of desperation.

We play a back four..DONT play our fullbacks (Rafael in a mask, Shaw)...we play 3-52..THEN we play them...in a role they're not suited to.

I'm really not getting LvG's thinking at all. If Cambridge had scored firstwe might have been out given how badly we played.

Be careful lads no slagging off United. You'll get an abusive PM from a Caf legend

Carrick should be taking responsibility instead of his slow motion passing, he should dictate play and be preesing forward with the ball instead of passing the buck to Jones. He had a few decent games when he came back from injury as though he was trying to prove a point but is back to the same old Captain Slow.

LVG can feck off with this rubbish 3-5-2 this guy has to come down to earth and stop being arrogant
and listen to what evey one screaming for ffs.

    My match ratings:

DDG: 7 Not much to do
Valencia: 4 Put in a shift but totally devoid of quality.
Jones: 6 Good at times shaky at others.
Rojo 6 : Efficient and physical when needed.
Blind: 6 Didn't offer much other than decent crosses, not much runs.
Carrick: 4 No defensive work but did no passes or fwd work either.
Fellaini: 5 Tried to get a handle on things but offers no creativity.
Januzaj: 7 Quiet start but grew in confidence as the game wore on.
Di Maria: 8 A constant threat but lacked partnerships in midfield.
Wilson : 4 A match that passed him by. Lacked involvement till sub.
Falcao: 4 Not the player he once was and sadly I cannot see him signed.

    Subs:
Herrera: 8 Added pace movement and industry going forward. Should start.
Van Persie: 6 Added quality and movement but clashes with Falcao.
Shaw: - Too short a time to judge him.

    Exactly.

9 times out of 10, the Premier League class comes out on top in the end.

There's no need for batshit beserk reactions going on here.
Whateevr anyone else did or how difficult these matches are, we were crap tonight. I'm the first person to say that any 11 men can beat any other 11 men on the night, but that doesn't change the fact that United did not play well enough tonight.

They are mainly the out of the woodwork fans. I've been to this ground a few times when they were in the conference. In those games they were the big boys. I remember one particular shifty penalty they won with. Pricks
