Thank feck we beat Leeds to the signing of James, just think what we would have done without him...

Never understand Ole's reluctance to make subs to try change the game. It's so clear that James is really struggling so why no bring on Jesse to see if he can be more effective.

It’s painful watching VDB point where he wants it but neither Fred or McT seem willing to attempt the pass, possibly because it’s a forward one that’s not 100% safe

Can't believe we have Ighalo until January and James for me is no better than Bebe.
We really do have some low level players on our books.

Ighalo is just not up to the standard of the rest of our attackers. I know he's been a relatively low risk deal, but I'm not sure it's solved anything except take up a squad place and fill a gap. We need to be aiming for more than that.

Fred took a shot and hit the target.

    That happened.

I recorded it as evidence in case no one believes me.

I don't have numbers after January, but at the end of January last season, only 8 of his 33 shots required action from the GK. 22 of those shots had an xG of 0.03 or less.

He just took low-value shots from all over. Was 4th in a list over players with the most shots without scoring in the PL.

that was fecking stupid froim Mata. Just clear it or give away a throw in.

There is no way we should go into a season with only one decent striker. If Martial picks up an injury we're fecked.

Juan Mata has been directly involved in 12 goals in his last 15 starts for Manchester United across all competitions (four goals and eight assists)
    Should probably credit Statman Dave.

If any one of our front 4 gets injured we're fecked. Maybe VDB can cover Fernandes but that's it.

The missed passes are the problem for us, and that is ridiculous. Even out of form, how can we miss that much on our own passes? It's so sad. I hope the players realize the problem.

Was the first half like this? They haven't looked very threatening but we've looked bang average in this half.

Why are we so bad this year

Still think (at least hoping) that this is somewhat still a preseason version of us. Results from other teams that were playing in European competition seem to suggest that this may be the case.

We are so bad. No movement when we’re in possession, aimless football.
