    Unbelievable how some United fans speak of Mata as deadwood, yet think Lingard will prove a valuable squad player.

    Yeah, seems like he's playing with many inherited patterns. Seems a smart kid I think he'll figure it out.
     
    Nice goal that! Mata still has plenty to offer in these matches.
     
    At least we’ll have now given the second string enough minutes to have them fit enough to watch from the stand as the core group play unrotated twice-a-week until Xmas.

    To be fair, he's gone from total football to United. He has to learn how to play our way.
     
    Just because he scored doesn't mean he has been horrible so far.
     
    James is nonexistent on his glorified left side.
    I'd say we think about selling him.

    Ffs, I want Dalot to prove a point that he can be good here, but he's just ambling. He's not been good or bad, he's just there.
    There are so many times he could have made runs into the space, because nobody who plays against us even bothers to watch the right side, but he just kinda jogs or walks to and fro.

    At least we don't look so awkward on that side though.

    Some good things, like Bailly, who also seems to have made Lindelof more comfortable. Would have been a monster here if he wasn't made of glass.
     
    I love goals like that. Nice ball into the box, nice header, simple goal. We don't do enough of these.
     
    Dan James will be on his way over the next few weeks potentially. Just does feck all every game. Has to be showing something.

    People keep wanting to see him play but the last time he's ever been remotely exciting was around his debut. I'm not even being harsh because I like him but those injuries have taken a toll.
