We've apparently never beaten Brighton on their patch, tonight would be a great time to do it. Leicester play Everton and Chelsea West Ham so potential banana skins there.

Didn't realise Steve Staunton had a cafe account.

Seen some comments elsewhere from Brighton fans suggesting they should save some players tonight to ensure they are ready for Norwich on the weekend. Especially Dunk as he's on 9 yellows and they fear he could easily pick up a 2 match ban due to our "world class lightning fast attackers". And in general that this game is a free hit for them so it shouldn't matter.

Let's just hope our players don't think that will be Brighton's attitude to the game.

The last time you beat us away from OT was the FA Cup final replay, that still smarts as we should ahve won the the first game, damn you Gordon Smith, our fanzine is still called "and smith must score" but he still doesn't however many times I see it!

The last time you beat us at ours was April 1982 and that was at the Goldstone before it was torn down by our shameful board at the time. You''ve never won at the Amex though...... I have a feeling that may change in the next few hours though sadly.

I was at the Final in the Brighton end, and at the replay as well, I felt sorry for Brighton in the replay because I don't know if your fans felt you'd missed your chance and weren't as keen to get hold of tickets but it was like a home match for United, 80,000 United fans alternating between "Happy Birthday Matt Busby", and "Stevie Foster what a difference you have made", there was only going to be one winner.

The Smith one is weird, even though I know he missed it I still expect him to score when I see it again!

We won in the League(1-4) and FA Cup(0-2) at the Goldstone Ground within a few months in the 80/81 season, then 0-1 in the League the following season.

And as for the result tonight i'm getting less confident by the minute.

I wouldn't drop Bruno. Need to win this. If we are up a goal to two, then take him off. I would start him though for sure.

On the face of it United have too much pace upfront for BHA to play an open game. Brighton do not propose much of a threat, and did not against Arsenal and Leicester. Their ability to play around the press did not show much either.

No reason for Lindelof to have kittens.

    Ended up going with:

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Matic
    Bruno Pogba
    Greenwood Martial Rashford
    ---
Romero; Williams, Bailly; Fred, McTominay, Lingard, Mata; James, Ighalo

I have a strong feeling that James might start over Greenwood, Fred/McTominay over Bruno and Williams over Shaw... But I'm hopeful the players are fresh enough due to high confidence to carry on. Ideally we'll get two goals to the good and some of these extra substitutions can come in handy!

I see a draw in this game and the faint hopes people have in us getting top four dwindle.

    Roll on the season end.
Dwindle. Do the maths if we drop points in any game they are over. Best case we can maybe win all but one but even that would take chelsea or leiscter to shit to bed to allow us ahead.

I wish Chelsea or Leicester could quickly drop points because I’m nervous every game even though I shouldn’t be. What are the chances we don’t win today? A draw is basically a loss to me.

Think a couple of people had a meltdown last week because Wolves won and we went down to 6th, with a game in hand...

Haha, makes sense then, I suppose.

We'll go above them to tonight on GD if we win tonight.

Can't imagine Brighton will sit back and try and hit us on the counter because that simply doesn't suit the philosophy of Potter, who has Brighton playing some really good football. Hopefully, we can capitalize on that and get the much-needed win.

Pretty decent. We have never won at Brighton since their promotion.

Brighton or draw double chance is evens with the bookies, double your money or win the game. I'd pay £20 for us to win tonight. It's win-win really?

    I always do this.

Feels dirty, glad I’m not the only one.

I dreamt that I was having a Pint with Davy Propper, but it turned into a nightmare when I realised that i'd paid for both the drinks. I was bolt upright in seconds!

That the sort if thing that gets you ‘bolt upright’ in bed?

I think we'll win comfortably. Away games against the lower sides without crowds are completely different.

    Ddg
    Awb - lindelof - maguire - Shaw
    Pogba - Matic
    James - Bruno - Rashford
    Martial

I think James/Greenwood is the only toss up but I would go James to stretch them a bit more.

We're good enough to play Pogba/Bruno. I hope Ole doesnt play two of Matic/Fred/McTominay

Hopefully United's win will make them nervous for a change, especially Leicester who's slowing down, but yes... need that win in a first place.

We only have 4 away wins this season wouldn’t be surprised if it ended in a draw..

I'm not one of the people who think we will get in the top 4. Haven't since season began.
