Unchanged team from the Sheffield United match I believe (expected) and I still think a few of tonights line up will be rested v Bournemouth on Saturday.

Brighton have selected a very defensive looking line up so hopefully the likes of Pobga, Bruno can break through the low block.

That's the team I'd of gone for.

We can't afford any slip ups now, 2-0 win and we keep the pressure on Leicester and Chelsea.

    11/11

Glad Ole has stuck with the same team from the Sheffield United victory last week. Don’t fix something that that doesn’t need fixed.

Brighton’s team is a joke. Potter has basically picked 10 defenders.

Still think that a 4-diamond-2 is the way to go with the options available - Fred/McTominay would bring a bit of energy to the midfield.

Not a bad lineup by any means though.

Hopefully we finish this game off in the first half, and then the boys can stroll around and save their legs in the second.

The only negative is that Mata and Pereira are on the bench. They also don’t deserve on merit, not just Lingard. I’d rather OGS puts Garner and Mejbri on the bench instead. But rather than that, perfect lineup

Glad Mooy isn’t starting for them. Got bad memories of him.

United team selection is more bad news for two players

Jesse Lingard started on Saturday but isn’t on the bench tonight and wasn’t on the bench against Sheffield United. Andreas Pereira was an unused substitute against Norwich, played 10 minutes against Sheffield United and wasn’t on the bench against Tottenham. Neither player has done anywhere near enough this season and if United could only pick seven substitutes they might both be out of the squad. It does feel like United could sell them both this summer and not unduly suffer.

We should sell the two in the summer and replace them with a back up 10 for Bruno.

it's worked against us before. they will defend for 85 minutes, win a few corners and then get a lewis dunk set piece goal. they score first and it will be a miserable game to watch.

So with 10 minutes to play and we need a goal - you would rather have Mejbri than Mata on the bench ?

Well, that's certainly the XI most of us would have gone with. So can't complain! An early goal would absolute crack this one for us. Also agree with those worried about corners, Dunk in particular is a threat, and Brighton are kind of huge.

    No unnecessary corners please.

One of the nice things about Ole is that he generally picks a side that seems sensible to the majority of fans. This must be the clearest example of that yet; that is definitely our current 'first choice XI'.

I'll be extra gutted if it doesn't work out! Reckon we'll smash them though.

To be fair, the previous games they beat us in, they outplayed us and created the most chances. If they try and sit back, they will likely lose I think.

Strong team; I'm pleased to see Greenwood selected. Hopefully we get a much better performance than the Norwich game, in what should be a routine win.

Very strong team yet again. Did expect to see a little more rotation after playing so recently. Hopefully we see a much improved performance from the last game.

Sky are so pleased with themselves after that 'where is Gary Neville' skit

Brighton’s team is a joke. Potter has basically picked 10 defenders.

He's normally willing to try and play football, as previously shown against Arsenal and Leicester.

However, his team selection tonight - along with the obvious squad rotation, shows how far we've come in the last couple of months, in that he seems to be sacrificing his style to try and keep our players quiet. He didn't do that against the aforementioned teams.

That, and I guess he feels we may struggle to break them down, but it's a different ball game with Pogba and Fernandes in our midfield now.

Looking forward to watching Lamptey and MacAllister.

Lamptey has been hyped up on twitter, and MacAlister had good reviews after their recent game against Arsenal.
