Martinez was good apart from one goal. Maguire had a nightmare first half.Rashford is finishedNot sure what Martinez height had to do with anything in that first half.
He was only involved in the 3rd goal which was a goal mouth scramble. He slips as he is turning so even if he was 6.5 he wasnt heading it.

Agree with you - I don't get comments from those people, when you have Rashford on the pitch, at least Sancho was getting on the ball.
Said it in the summer, reserve judgement on every defender until they have a competent keeper behind them and a competent midfield in front of them.

He did in pre-season, then they have slipped back into their old ways. They fooled him into thinking the squad could be made into something. He has been sold a pup.
Think its a bit premature to come to the conclusion. He made a couple of errors, but its 1.5 games in a new league wth a centr back partner leaving him one on one or worse often in both games with his lack of rading the game.
May go on to be a flop but Puyol, Gonzalo, Ayala there are a host of the best centre backs of all time that have been very small. Of course it is a weakness. Its funny how barely anybody at all mentioned Timber or Martinez until Ten Hag took over and then suddenly raved about them. I didnt know either, see a player in Martinez though in time ....but Gvardiol and Fofana were my top choices for sure for the centre back role. At least in signing Martinez we signed a player for a position needed, Malacia and Eriksen may go on to have excellent careers here, but shot term they dont really solve the huge progblems we have in several positionsI feel like our players don't ever try anything in attack. It's just entirely joyless.
What happened to the Rashford who we got annoyed at for trying to take players on too often and taking on too many shots. Those aren't great traits but my god would I take him over this slow turning and passing backwards nonsense.Rashford looks like he doesn't know where to move- Status
