Fred isn’t an 8 and never will be. Shit on the ball. But I suppose we have to make do (while Donny sits on the bench ffs).

You can question his quality but he is definitely an 8. Same with McT. Its clearly his best position.

Who will go forward for corners, Lindelof or Varane? Putting money on them getting a header. Probably Lindelof?

We all know Bruno won't be a number 8, even though he's meant to. He'll do what he always does and play almost as a 2nd striker, and consequently McFred won't have passing options and a press will dispossess us.
He played as a number 8 against Villa. Why do people keep talking like 4-3-3 is new thing today?

    Elanga and Greenwood

My God, Ronnie won't be getting any service tonight. I predict he'll pull a miracle out of ass or find a Ruud type poach and his thread will flood post game with the haters yet again.

Probably the best team we can field at the moment to be honest.

Maguire and Rashford on the bench is doing wonders to my health already.
I'll second that! Watching those two get selected game after game when they were clearly massively underperforming was beyond frustrating.

De Bruyne was quite similar to Bruno once upon a time. Good players can adapt and change their role.
Bruno has no qualities which make him a good candidate for a midfielder. Therefore, I don't consider this to be a good idea.
I can't think of a player in our squad who is easier to go past than Bruno. Ronaldo and Greenwood come close.

When will people accept that Fred and McTom are the best we have .

Yep. We just don’t have the options

Matic has no legs, pogba is missing and donny isn’t the answer.

I’ve mentally accepted this won’t change till summer transfer window. Suggest everyone does the same.

does it matter, if it was an empty net this team would still wouldn't score from a corner.

You've convinced me. C'mon Victor you useless streak of wank*. No passing. I want shots all game. Eventually it will come off. It has to.

I actually like Victor and I call him a useless streak of wank in an endearing, friendly way.

Pretty much expected lineup. Elanga's been pretty good and it sems that RR trusts him
Let's win this and hope Spurs will drop some points at Leicester

It's probably still a 433 guys. The crappy formatting just has Elanga (3rd attacker) further down.

Ralf has verbal diarrhoea, just keep it at personal reasons. No need for details.
It’s probably better than saying nothing as then there will be speculation on him being dropped from the squad

Get into a winning position and bring in Matic for the last 20 to see it out this time

Rashford should be nowhere near the starting line up, likewise Martial.

This is something I would expect to read on Facebook, from somebody who could not even find OT on a map never mind been there.

Rashford is back and Sancho disappears again? And are Shaw and Lingard injured? I like the front 3 and Lindelof keeping his place over Maguire but a midfield 3 without a midfielder who has any idea about defensive positioning is really risky.

Ronaldo in for Cavani but I'd keep Elanga and Mason in this proposed 4-3-3 Ralf is aiming for. I'm not keen on Maguire coming back in but he will and McTominay is undoubtedly going to start, Matic is the only #6 we have but I wouldn't be surprised if Fred and his erraticness started.

Looks good but yeah i'd prefer Lindelof.

This is some pretty embarrassing stuff.

No idea why but confident we’ll win tonight. It’s the hope that kills you. Watching it all the way from Inverness on a work trip.

Lingard looks likely to be leaving so I guess that’s why he is not in

feck knows what issue is with Shaw

Fernandes as a 6 is quite diabolical.

Sancho is out for a funeral.
Shaw hamstring injury. Cavani also injured.
Lingard dunno, hopefully signing for Newcastle for £45 million.

Better than a midfield 2 without the defensive positioning though ;)

Is it asking too much for them to actually play good football for more than 20 minutes?

Hoping for a win, but who knows?

Considering our football was fine for longer periods vs Villa, I think we will be OK
