Association Football Club Bournemouth (nicknamed The Cherries and Boscombe) is a professional football club based in Bournemouth, Dorset. The exact date of the club's foundation is not known, but there is proof that it was formed as Bascombe FC in the autumn of 1899 out of the remains of the older Boscombe St. John's Lads’ Institute FC. Nicknamed The Cherries (Dean Court was built adjacent to the Cooper-Dean estate, which encompassed numerous cherry orchards), the team traditionally played in red shirts with white sleeves until 1971, when the strip was changed to red and black stripes, similar to that of AC Milan. The club was renamed in 1923 to Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic F.C. in 1923, which was the name until 1972, when it becomes A.F.C. Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have won the second and third tiers of English football, and were twice runners-up of the fourth tier. They have also won the Football League Trophy, and the Football League Third Division South Cup. Bournemouth have spent the majority of their history bouncing between the third and fourth tier of English football. Under manager Eddie Howe, they have risen through the pyramid; the 2015–16 season was Bournemouth's first ever in England's top division. Bournemouth's biggest rivals are Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading FC and Southampton FC. They play their home games at Dean Court, Bournemouth — currently known as the Vitality Stadium.

Hope we largely stick with the kids, rotate out a few more players in advance of the EL games.

My expectation is to get battered by Bournemouth. That's how low I feel about this team. Bournemouth is a heavy favorite against us.

Honestly, we'll be lucky to get another 5-6 points in the rest of the games.

Just told them we wont travel over there. They got 3 points and double win over us, we got more rest day. Win-win situation imo

Drop Hojlund give Obi the minutes. Get him used to playing with his team mates
    Bournemouth to win 3-1

They have a better forward line than us. At no point should Bournemouth really have a better forward line than United.

Itll be a stronger side than today and likely sub players off for Bilbao. Theres a week between Wolves and this. I imagine it’s the kids vs Brentford inbetween Bilbao legs.

    Onana
    Mazraoui - Maguire - Yoro
    Dalot - Ugarte - Bruno - Dorgu
    Garnacho - Hojlund - Mount

Thanks to Mr. Ratcliffe for all his hard work this season. The man is a pure genius!

This one is like the Newcastle game, an obvious loss in a match we won't risk our best players too much before the Bilbao game especially as it's a very tough away game anyway.
I'd honestly keep out anyone who is expected to start against Bilbao.

A week off then Sunday-Thursday. Should be the first time vs Athletic Club getting primed as a key part of their preparation.

Quite unbelievable to be at this point, but if this is anything other than a loss, I will be genuinely as shocked as if we won 4-0 at Anfield earlier in the season. We are quite simply not in a deep relegation fight because of the worst bottom 3 in living memory.

They have a better forward line than us. At no point should Bournemouth really have a better forward line than United.

True, but recall the grim turn of events with Rashford and Sancho, let alone Martial and Greenwood -- both long gone of course. A fairy tale I know, but imagine what could have been had all four of Rashford, Sancho, Martial and Greenwood been firing on all cylinders for us. It's hard to even think of the words to describe what could have been.

Instead we have Hojlund, who looks a bust, leading the line. Zirkzee has some zip in his game but he just isn't a prolific goal scorer. Garnacho is one for the future, though doesn't have what Rashford, Sancho, Martial and Greenwood had at the age of 20. And Amad Diallo, who's the cream of our crop but who's been out with injury...hopefully he'll be fit enough to come on with 20 minutes left against Bournemouth.

Your point is well taken, but it should be noted that someone out there has voodoo dolls of United forwards.

Don´t know about this much negativity. We lost against Wolves, but we were unlucky. It was a game we should have won easily. We were clearly the better team in a match where we rotated, so I am not that pessimistic. Bournemouth is better than Wolves, but they are not Liverpool or Barcelona.

I would play something like this:

    Onana
    Mazraoui-Harry-Yoro
    Dalot-Casemiro-Ugarte-Amass
    Mount-Eriksen
    Obi

Dorgu for Dalot and Bruno for Ugarte at half time
    Mainoo for Eriksen at 60-70
    Garnacho for Mount at 60-70
    Rasmus for Obi at 60-70

Obi has to play as we cannot risk Rasmus before Bilbao.
Shaw is too rusty for Bournemouth
Lindelof is an option, but I would prefer Harry M.
Eriksen or Mainoo in for Garnacho, who we should rest for Bilbao.
Fredericksen did good and he could get a second outing.

Start a few Thursday starters and rest a few

    Onana
    Lindelof Yoro Fredericson
    Dalot Ugarte Casemiro Amass
    Mount Mainoo
    Hojlund

I know that we don´t really need to win this, but losing too many of these games could become demoralising for the squad.

Don't see us scoring. Expecting a goalless draw or a tight win for Bournemouth.

How did we get to the stage where it would be a pleasant surprise if we don't lose by more than two goals to Bournemouth?

Can’t even be bothered predicting a line up for the rest of the season…

I’d like to hear this voodoo doll theory developed more
