Seems every match is tough these days for United. If Bournemouth were playing other teams in form we'd say it was an easy game.
I was reading 10 years ago Bournemouth were relegated to league 2 and we played CL final. Now they are ahead of us in the points and it's seen as a tough game for us.
    Really incredible.

I've noticed a trend on this forum, where people are making up quotes, (not) said by Jose and then everybody believes those quotes.
So many people dislike him so much, that they are now resorting to this.
I really hope he stays and wins us lots of trophies - no doubt, many "fans" will be very sorry to see that happen; especially those who are hoping we lose matches, just so that Jose gets the sack.

I totally agree with this post. Making up quotes not said by Jose himself is baffling to say the least. I am bewildered as to what type of supporter actually wants UTD to lose a game in the so called certainty that Jose will get sacked. Absolutely preposterous thought processing by some.

Surely every true supporter will want the team to win all games despite their feelings towards the manager.

I'm far from confident. Small stadium, passionate fans and a team that likes to play on the front foot.
Feels like one of those games we concede early and there is no return.

If we go in behind at HT, Jose will say something during the HT team talk and we'll come out in the 2nd half, all gunz blazing and beat them.
I have no fear being behind at HT. In fact, I prefer it!

Like Brighton and West Ham, it's not every time we respond. I'd prefer that we start on top of them.

I'm praying for another good performance, Martial to continue his form, somebody to finally look a threat up front and on the right wing and obviously the 3 points.

Not sure how much of that will come to fruition but the 3 points is important here.

Absolute must-win. Here's what I would go for especially if Bournemouth go with a 3 CB set up.

    ---------------DDG------------------
    Young---Smalling--Lindelof---Shaw

    -------------Herrera-----------------
    -----Fred---------------Pogba-------
    ---------------Mata------------------

    -------Alexis----------Martial--------

But Jose will likely do a 4-3-3 with Matic at the base of midfield and Mata on the wing :(

I guess no leak lineup this time.

You can see how jovial he is about it. You wouldn't have gotten that impression reading the reaction to it from the mentalists in the presser thread though.

Our record in these early games is bad, isn't it? I can't remember when we last time won this early game

So the question should really be, why doesn’t he say something before the match starts and go all guns blazing in the first half?

If he ditched the cowardly approach to most games and had us going for the jugular rather than sitting back then he wouldn’t get anywhere near the criticism he does.

Of course and if he starts and mess it up I will be furious with Jose

I will be very surprised if he isn't. Mourinho said he was "resting" Lukaku in the last match. He won't be able to say that again if he isn't in the starting 11...
They are saying Lukaku wasn't on the coach.

    Lukaku absent
Romelu Lukaku has not been spotted getting off the team bus at the Vitality Stadium.

Does anyone else get superstitious about our games?
I always have a bad feeling when we are the only ones on TV.

Interesting. Would be a bit of a surprise if he's dropped completely (unless there's an injury we're not aware of), given that we don't have great options off the bench. Form wise it's not like he deserves to be included at the moment

And even if we win they stay ahead of us on goal difference :nervous:

Unless we smash them of course.

Maybe Lukaku picked up something in last training. Didn't think he would start anyway.

Lukaku must be injured. I don't believe for one second he would be dropped completely out of the squad.

Apparently Josh King is out for Bournemouth which is a boost for you I think, Him, Fraser, Wilson and Brooks as a front four would've been big test for your back 4. Guess Bournemouth willl stick an extra midfield in rather than Defoe.

Can actually see you pinching this 1-2, last minute winner.

Francis is also a major doubt

That will be one the footballing mysteries which will remain a mystery till the end of time.
Or perhaps in a few years we shall read in someone's book, what actually went on.
I agree though, it is absolutely bizarre to only play hard for 45 minutes. Jekyll and Hyde performances.

Am I the only one who never watches pre-match build up? Maybe it’s because nobody ever has anything nice to say about us, but I always tune in about 2 minutes before kick-off.

    Yep.
Though I do expect Bournemouth to finish the season, well below us.
