The sensible side of me says there's no way he'll be in the squad, given he will only have trained for 3/4 days before the match. However, the other part of me just wants him in the team (on the bench that is).

Doubt we'll see Pogba in this one with such little training beforehand. Lingard should keep his place if not injured. Fancy Miki to get some minutes in this one. Same starting XI as the charity shield for me. 2-0 united.

Pogba won't play more than 15 minutes in this game if Mourinho's kind. He may be like Di Maria's debut, and come ine slowly to the team.

But I think that we'll see the same team as against Leicester except Mhitaryan for Lingard if he's injured.

Curious as to whether Lingard makes this one, but I think Mkhitaryan will start regardless. Team picks itself for this game, but the midfield two is obviously anybody's guess.

I feel that the team I'd play is different to what Jose has in mind. I can see him keep the same line up but just replace Fellaini. I personally would play a 4-3-3 and leave Rooney on the bench

I think it will be a tough game and we are still working out the kinks, I expect a similar line-up to the Community Shield with Herrera replacing Fellaini. If Lingard is fit he will start otherwise Mkhi will play on the right. I expect Pogba to come off the bench for 20 minutes or so.

Not sure about this, but had he already had something of a pre-season at Madrid? Pogba literally has not had a pre-season at all.

Anyway, hope Schneiderlin replaces Carrick. He was largely disappointing against Leicester.

I doubt Pogba will be playing at all, after literally 5 training sessions for the last month. I prefer to see him come in as a sub at OT, next week.

Pretty much the only premier league sides that look like they have a shit squad at the moment are Burnley, Sunderland, Hull City and Swansea... The rest all have pretty solid teams I think.

Looking through the squad, it's amazing how many legends/potential legends we have here right now. Rooney, Carrick, de Gea, Schweinsteiger, Ibrahimovic and Pogba. I know some are past it, Bastian probably won't be here come a few weeks and some aren't quite legend status yet, but having all of these players here together at one point is quite awe inducing.
