That was what I was thinking. He has so much to offer.I felt this would be a tough test.Our biggest problem that half was trying to play everything down our right hand side with Young and Lingard, I've been critical of Mata in the past but he's such a massive improvement over Lingard.

Jose will not want both of his FBs bombing forward especially with Young being a natural attacker. Darmian is doing exactly what Jose wants from him, to shift inside as a 3rd CB when Young attacks. Darmian is not the reason we conceded neither is he the reason we haven't scored more goals.
I agree that he works hard and loves the club, which is a big plus. But, to imply that he has done enough this match because he sprinted up the field during a developing counterattack that lead to the goal is a bit much. The lions share of credit for that goal is for Miki who beat his defender and played in Rashford with a sublime pass. Hard to say that Lingard deserves hardly any credit for the two most important touches of that goal.
