    End of the myth about press conference players starting the game. With Young there wasn't even any language excuse.
     
    This is a very defensive lineup from Benfica, they almost always play 4-4-2 and they have three central midfielders in the team, in maybe like a 4-3-3.
     
    Here's hoping Lindelof puts in a good performance and shows he's worth the buy.

    Thought Martial would start. Looks like this Rashford/Martial rotation is set to continue. Well, if they each score goals coming off the bench, no-one's complaining.

    I think Luke Shaw just travelled as a punishment, exactly as Rojo travelled as a reward.
     
    10/11 predicted Young instead of Valencia.

    Very good lineup, though. Should be enough to win this game.

    Stewart Gardner was on Match of the Day the other week which was weird l.
     
    Apparently, one of Benfica wingers, Diogo Gonçalves, has gone from having 5 minutes to starting in the Champions League. Maybe Mourinho wasn't expecting that one.

    Solid lineup. As mentioned before would be great if we can do the business away because the reverse fixture is at OT, but is in between two big PL fixtures.

    Rashford has started 6/8 PL games, and 1/3 CL games.

    Martial has started 2/8 PL games, and 2/3 CL games.

    Hardly 'every other game'.
     
    Not that I care anymore, but I see Mr. Goal/Assist every half is on the bench again. These articles about him being Mourinho’s pet this season are just lies. Martial doesn’t play a whole lot, unfortunately.

    Funny, Mourinho mentioned he needed Mata for possession based games. But he apparently got his tactical decision right, because Benfica look like abdicating from the possession with their lineup.
