So we went with a back 3 against CSKA. Will we be seeing more of the same or we'll play our normal 4231? It's an away game in Europe so it wouldn't surprise me if Jose goes for a back 3 especially since it resulted in an easy win for us. Hard to predict the line up for this one.

One of the first matches I ever watched was this. Not that I'm old enough to have been around for that cup final lol, but I do remember sitting down with my dad who had it on video and he told me to watch George Best (he was a massive fan despite not being a United fan). I can't have been more than 5/6.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the exact same score here in the present. Not sure Benfica will be able to score though.

A nice win would pretty much guarantee us a spot in the next round. Be really nice to secure that spot ASAP and be able to give some youngsters a chance at a few CL games.

Hopefully we'll win this match so we can "afford" playing a weakened team against them the 31th, as we play Spurs (28/10) and then away at the bridge against Chelsea (5/11).

Another away draw wouldn't be the end of the world in isolation, but we really should be trying hard to win this game with those fixtures in mind.

I agree with you but here's the thing, this game is exactly made for the current Mkhi in this Utd team. European game where we're on the front foot (well at least not parking the bus like the last game) and he will get space, time and possession.

'Expect' it to be like the other similar games, some good, some bad and probably an assist or goal lol.

Btw, I think that beating Benfica shouldn't be a priority tonight. More important is that the players are fresh enough against Huddersfield. This game vs Huddersfield may turn out to be more difficult than expected.

On the flip side if results go out way and we win our double header against Benfica we could win the group and play a weakened 11 in our last two group games
