Another issue is, at his very best, he's relied on that unique drive and workrate that only really rooney has and throughout his career has made him one of the most uniquely sought after strikers in the world.
Now, problem lies in that with age (not that he's ancient) he's had a lot of ware and tear which i think has dulled that drive that made him so effective. He's not zlatan or ronaldo who can drop deep, get involved, then rely on insane athletisism to get back into the box and get on the end of something.Ayew cheat as always.Gotta say good job there Mike Dean.
I give it a 8/10 on the Stevie Starfish scale.We're controlling it. Another goal would be nice but it's easy stuff at the moment.If we'd have just started the correct midfield we could make the Rooney for Hernandez sub and actually have a player up front.- Status
