Spurs had lost, Chelsea are losing... I'm so nervous about this game!

Nice to see Dalot starting — Kolasinac is probably Arsenal's most threatening creator at the moment and Dalot should help massively, while exposing him at the back. Interesting that Emery trusted Özil for this one.

A sad state of affairs. We've got 27 attacking midfielders and a left back is our .......

    This isn't my Arsenal.

We need a positive result - win or draw is fine esp with the way Chelsea v Wolves is currently.

By the way, who do Chelsea have as their game in hand?

I’m guessing Fred will play the Herrera role.

Good team, and judging from the results this weekend I’ll be delighted with a point.

Arsenal are going for it... this should be fun. I feel ok about this... I think. But we have a pretty defensive team out there considering.

Lots of patience needed. If we get Lukaku and Rashford in the game, really involved, then I fancy us. But it is going to be tough. Arsenal do not lose many at the Emirates. And they are hurting from being dumped out of the FA Cup.

We'll see. Tottenham losing yesterday (Chelsea, as I write, are struggling..) so three points would be amazing. An ugly 1-0 is perfectly cool with me. Windy conditions, tough opponent... you just have to stay organised, and don't panic if they have lots of the ball.

IF, and I mean IF.. it is a difficult afternoon, let's not lose it ok. We have had a lot of superb, superb results.

    That's two attacking line-ups isn't it?

Arsenal's five at the back. With Torreira injured he had no choice but to start Ramsey and Xhaka. Think both the CM's will sit back. I see the line-up as:

    Leno
    Niles Sokratis Kos Monreal Kolasniac
    Xhaka Ramsey
    Ozil
    Auba....Laca
We quite naturally will be a little reserved this being an away game at a top side.

I could be totally wrong and this could end 5-5 but that's my thinking looking at Arsenal's line-up.

Pleased to see Dalot. Last time they did a tag team on Young because lukaku was so far up the pitch waiting for counter. We scored and got exposed at the same time. This time I expect us to shut it down completely. 0-2 to us.

Ole has rightly identified Dalot as a promising and exciting player, well deserved start.

    C'mon United!

    Just seen the lineup.

I imagine it'll be front 3 with Dalot at right wing.

I'm a bit surprised Ole's not gone for 4-diamond-2 to take advantage of Arsenal's high fullbacks and the space they leave in the channels. Must be because we don't have enough fresh midfielders to make it work... unless Dalot goes RB and Young plays in the hole. I on't see that happening, though.

On what basis would you say our team is defensive? Dalot is currently the second most potent player we have on the RW after Lingard.

Strong arsenal attack but defence is still piss poor.

If we Counter attack well then we should win

Man, we really need these points today especially with Chelsea drawing.

Dalot won't be as advanced as Rashford or Lukaku. It'll be more a 4-4-2 is my guess.

    EDIT: NBC agrees

Well, that score would underline my original comment (but I'd be extremely disappointed – as would DdG I'd imagine). I was answering in response to your post that it will be a "cagey affair". There will be goals in this either way … just hope we score more at the end of the day (1:3 my prediction, btw). Would be handy to quieten Xhaka down with an early card but it's Ramsey who normally has a worldie against us!

If we draw against top six teams and win the rest, we will get top four. Probably.

Hopefully Aubameyang has his shoes on the wrong feet again. Lacazette is a bit of a threat in the final third, he caused issues in the FA Cup tie.

Really surprised Ozil starts, to be honest.

Starting the game with a point in the lead over Arsenal and Chelsea. We have to get 3 points. Draw won't be good enough for us.

It's not the final game of the season. The other teams are dropping points right, left and centre. I'm sure we can afford to draw away at Arse and still finish top 4.

Of course I want 3 points too, but we don't have to get 3 points.

Chelsea drawing gives us a bit of a leeway in this game.

Despite the optimism, this will be a tough game. We will go for the win, but I can live with a draw.

Would have preferred McTerminator to Fred tbh to get him in and around Ozil
