It's hilarious how many people think this is going to be a chore. I know I'm often optimistic but there do seem to be people who predict a loss in every game! I have no idea why some people are saying United aren't a good side. Didn't they watch most games this season? Do they still hold the idea that Premier League is a weak league? Just odd to me. We've looked very well organised away from OT this season, and we are going to be stronger today.
and how's it going so far? against a side with no attackers, they have still dominated and created more

In truth, Milan have looked a class above us in both games. One team looks greater than the sum of its parts, the other doesn't. We know which one United is and we know the reason why.
The funny thing is they sat back and looked like wanting to park the bus in the first 15 minutes - and then they probably realised that we're a bit shit and there's no reason they shouldn't dominate the ball again.

So despite our superior squad we can not outclass this team in two games. Why do we even have a manager if his only job is to pick starting 11 and play on his ipad during the game? Might as well send him home and leave the players decide by themselves how to play.

And look how shite we are on the right hand side. He's a bigger part of that. I can't believe I'm speaking to someone who genuinely doesn't think a fullback needs to contribute to the attack.
Yes we are shite on the right because James is ahead of him. We're slowly getting there...

Contribute is not the same as being responsible for getting the ball into the box or being responsible for general attacking down the right. If we had a proper RW for him to work with he look 10 times better. I can't believe I'm talking to someone that thinks a RB is responsible for everything that happens in the final third of the pitch. Please name a RB we've ever had that did that without q proper RW ahead of him.

I don’t see anything other than a defeat here unless we get Pogba on early and he has a worldy. What I hate about this side is the lack of passing and technical ability amongst too many of our players. Fred, McTominay, Rashford, James, simply can’t pass or control a ball at the required standard we are aspiring for. Add in the wastefulness of Bruno and we have a team that just can’t retain the ball. It’s why I have so much sympathy for Greenwood, sure he could work harder but he looks like a technical god amongst a sea of shite.

Bruno is a world class player but to get the best out of him and the team you have to have two very good ball players behind him who can retain the ball and set the tempo. I wouldn’t want Bruno to change his style but I would like the rest of the average players to not be giving it away as well. The long and short of it is that the only workable midfield we have includes both Pogba and a Bruno, anything else is miles off the pace.

McFred is about the worst pair of midfielders you can pair together if you want to play football.

Criminal how much they partner eachother.

If it was me I'd sell Fred in a heartbeat. McTominay has his uses.

That’s an awful first half performance. I’ve never seen us give the ball away for a whole half before. Low quality and can only get better in the second half as we can’t be as bad as this half, surely.

I don't trust these guys. It could get worse.

Well are we playing against 70' Brazil or are we playing against Meite, Samu Castilejo, Krunic and Kalululu ?

Control of what? We can’t put more than 3 passes together
Game. Apart from few counter attacks from Milan they haven't done anything. We are still in the game and have control over our destiny. We should get some chances in second half.

Appreciate the optimism, concerned about the delusion.
You come far with optimism. Being negative isn't that nice.

Can someone ban that WUM already?
Why? Because my opinion doesn't suit yours? Freedom of speech.

If not for some poor decision making from Castillejo and Saelemaekers , this might already be out of reach. Thought it was an impressive start by Utd, but Milan really started controlling the tempo, and had the better chances after that. Nervy from both sides at times.

Everything seems to going through James who just isn't good enough, Rashford is unfit and Bruno has been shite. Let's hope for a better second half...

A few bright sparks to begin with but have somewhat fizzled out, Milan look in total control so we need to change it up at half time. Pogba is the one to give us more of a foothold in the middle.

We’re playing so badly. I’ve defended Dan James to the hilt (you can go through my posts in his thread), but he is really a selfish, midtable level PL player. The fact that he didn’t put Greenwood through was embarrassing, and he has the cheek to call for a pen after running down yet another blind alley. AWB just can’t play football. Our whole right flank is awful.

Shaw and Maguire have been the best players today. They’ve been that along with Bruno for the past few weeks, but Bruno has been poor today.

We desperately need to improve. Pogba has to come on, and we need to step it up and get the first goal in the 2nd half.

Get Pogba on for Rashford who doesn’t look right at all. Let Bruno continue to roam as he wants but we need Pogba in midfield so McFred can actually find another midfielder to play it to.

Hard to win this with 10 men, Rashford looks drunk and knackered from kickoff.
It’s clear as day he’s not even 40% fit, begs the question what the hell is Ole playing at considering he’s worse than having no one there.

Kessie is a proper midfielder, making ours look like children

Mctom off Pogba on, Cm is killing us Rashford isolated not in game , there tight on Bruno, so Pogba has to come on, CB needs to step up Ibra looks like coming on, hes not going to run away from them. If nothing changes soon were fecked, 45mins just go for it. Come on lads major improvement needed. Time to earn your corn Ole, make the changes.

Our tactic seems to be to fanny about with it at the back until we get closed down and then smash it into a channel for someone to run on to.

And then no one runs. They are simply jogging.

Utd and the word awful are now synonymous with Ole's coaching or should I say lack of coaching. It's the longest caretaker role I have ever heard off, now just looks bereft.

That Zagreb player looks cracking, one of the best hat-tricks I’ve seen for a while.
