Liverpool Football Club (nicknamed The Reds) are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Liverpool were originally founded in 1892 as "Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds Ltd" (Everton Athletic for short), before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd. after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road.

Liverpool's forays into competitive football started when they joined the Lancashire League. After winning the league title in their first season, Liverpool were accepted into the Football League for the 1893-94 season, following the resignations of Accrington and Bootle. Liverpool reached its first FA Cup Final in 1914, losing 1–0 to Burnley. It won consecutive League championships in 1922 and 1923, but did not win another trophy until the 1946–47 season, when the club won the First Division for a fifth time under the control of ex-West Ham Utd centre half George Kay.

One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 19 English league titles, 6 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his Boot Room successors Bob Pailsey, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish. Liverpool have two fierce historic rivals: crosstown club Everton FC (matches between them are termed The Merseyside Derby), and Manchester United (stemming from the success of both teams as well as the cities' competition in the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century).

If there's a team Liverpool want to face for a boost to chase the quadruple its us. We helped them last season well do it again.

Keep it respectable. As long as we don't lose by more than 3, it is okay.

The FA need to be investigated making us play this fixture, sick cnuts

We now know what it was like for a Bradford fan heading to Old Trafford circa 2000. If we keep it under 6 that would be lovely.

If our players have anything resembling a remnant of something formerly known as a backbone they will show up for this one.

The only game that matters this season. Lose this and we will be doing a major part giving them there quadruple.

Have no doubt we’re getting nothing in this match but if we did and Brentford manage to win against Spurs. It would be in our hands.
Yeah, we’re not getting anything from this one.

Just seen the goals from today as missed the match. The space Norwich midfielders had for both goals we conceded to play passes in-between our lines. Criminal. Going to get spanked if we play like that against better sides.

Anyone want to bet how quickly we'll let in the first (of many)?

Going to be grim. Will have to gamble horrifically in Liverpool’s favour.

Ralf needs to park the bus, we’ll get picked to shit if we try anything else.

I don't think I've ever been so sure and sorta accepting of a United loss than this game. So .... we might just win it.

6-0 to Liverpool, we’ll be lucky to have a shot to be honest. Our only hope is we can some how get behind there high line that they always play. 89 minutes of the game will be played in our halve though.

Shaw most likely won't play again this season.

Sneaking a draw in this would be an unashamedly awesome thing for United fans everywhere. I don't see it happening at all though.
