Norwich City Football Club (also known as The Canaries or City or The Citizens) is an English professional football club based in Norwich, Norfolk, that competes in the Premier League. Norwich City was formed following a meeting at the Criterion Cafe in Norwich on 17 June 1902 by a group of friends led by two former Norwich CEYMS players, and played their first competitive match against Harwich & Parkeston, at Newmarket Road on 6 September 1902. They also joined the Norfolk & Suffolk League for the 1902–03 season, but during the First World War, with football suspended and facing spiralling debts, they went into voluntary liquidation on 10 December 1917.

The club was officially reformed on 15 February 1919 – a key figure in the event was Charles Frederick Watling, future Lord Mayor of Norwich and the father of future club chairman, Geoffrey Watling. Norwich City F.C. played at Newmarket Road from 1902 to 1908. Following a dispute over the conditions of renting the Newmarket Road ground, in 1908 the club moved to a new home in a converted disused chalk pit in Rosary Road which became known as “The Nest”. By the 1930s, the ground was too small for the growing crowds, and in 1935 the club moved to its current home in Carrow Road.

The club's main local rival is Ipswich Town. When Norwich and Ipswich meet it is known as the East Anglian Derby, or, informally, as the Old Farm Derby – a comic reference to the 'Old Firm Derby' played between Scottish teams Celtic and Rangers. The fans' song “On the Ball, City” is the oldest football chant in the world, written in 1890 and still sung today; the song is, in fact, older than the club itself having probably been penned for Norwich Teachers or Caley's FC in the 1890s and adapted for Norwich City.

Anyone actually give a shit at this point?

    Anyway, Norwich clear favourites here.

Congratulations in advance to Norwich on a massive 3 points!

Doesn’t matter. No chance we beat all 3 of liverpool, city and Chelsea. Not a chance. We don’t get champions league or even europa (fecking europa... again).

Manchester United competing in the europa conference league or whatever the feck it is, is a shambles.

We laughed at Spurs last season when this happened to them. :(

Will be absolutely pathetic again and make a useless team look like world beaters.

Maybe it's for the best at this stage and we can 'do an Arsenal' next year with no midweek trips to Turkmenistan to face Dynamo Dogfeck in the Europa Conference thing.

Come on Norwich, help us get that 8th place.

I hope we can get away with a draw to keep our conference league hopes alive.

The fact this is a 3pm kick off and isn’t televised is a blessing in disguise. I’ll save myself the bother of hunting for a stream for this one.

Not sure I can conjure up the energy to watch this, especially if Rashford, Maguire et al are starting. Play some kids and I'll be intrigued, otherwise just announce Ten Hag and end the season already.

Time for the United Charity to give Norwich a boost.

At this point I'd like to win any Mickey Mouse cup. We club seriously need it.

The lads will be right up for this after the disappointment of today.

    I think we'll fecking hammer them 1-1

I said last week that i wouldn't trust this group of players to beat Norwich, nothing i seen today to change that view, matter of fact I'll be surprised if Norwich don't earn at least a draw.

nah. I think being out of Europe might actually benefit us next season. Give the new manager a shot at just Focusing on domestic games and gelling the squad. Get next season as right as possible and have another summers transfer window before even touching Europe.

Definition of a nothing game. I m surprised if it even get broadcasted on TV not to mention on internet . Maybe a win here will cause a domino effect and Spurs and Arsenal will start losing game

    Give absolutely zero fecks

I won’t forget this run of games and the downing of tools from this squad they’ve took the piss out of the club and the fans I’ve never felt so disconnected from a squad of players.

If Ralf had anything about him he’d completely leave out the players who are leaving and play a few youth players for the rest of the season, feck em.

    3-0 Utd.
I mean we are tragic at the moment but it's Norwich, who are already doomed.

    Surely we aren't THAT tragic?

Is this the most depressing fixture in recent history. 0-1 Norwich (Iwan Roberts)

    3-0 Utd.

Why are fans so fecking deluded???
A 3-0 win against any team at the moment is unthinkable. Watford, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Burnley, Newcastle, Everton….. all guaranteed wins ???? We are wank, end of!!!!
