Liverpool FC (nicknamed The Reds) are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Liverpool were originally founded in 1892 as "Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds Ltd" (Everton Athletic for short), before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road. Liverpool's forays into competitive football started when they joined the Lancashire League. After winning the league title in their first season, Liverpool were accepted into the Football League for the 1893-94 season, following the resignations of Accrington and Bootle.

One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 18 English league titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his 'Boot Room' successors. Although Liverpool's fortunes as a domestic and European force have dwindled in the past 25 seasons, they still have a massive global support-base. Liverpool have two fierce historic rivals - crosstown club Everton FC (matches between them are termed The Merseyside Derby), and Manchester United (who ironically ascended to consistent title-winning prominence as Liverpool declined in the Premier League era).

This is going to be difficult to watch. Don't think we'll get smashed on the scoreboard, but think we'll get torn a new one on the field. Hopefully we can raise our games against opposition far superior to us, similar to how the Scouse used to do it against us in the 00s.

2-2 draw on the cards. We'll outplay them, but they ll get a late equalizer and Klopp will lose his teeth trying to run on to the field and falling flat on his teeth.

His pre match press conference will be playing the pauper card, how they've spent so much more money than us, then he'll have a go at the media because he gets stick as a "winner" and Klopp doesn't. The game will get here, we'll play absolutely horrendous football until we go a goal down then slightly less tumescent when we do.

Rashford maybe scoring is about the only hope I have.

Recent performances would suggest we'll get smashed.

Historical evidence of Mourinho as United manager would suggest we'll hoof it like Stoke Wankers, bore them to death, Dave will pull off some world class saves and we leave with a shitty 0-0 draw.

If we trolled Juventus and City at their grounds, Liverpool should brace themselves

If there is any way we can avoid showing up for this fixture (the bus breaking down, the entire squad contracting a mysterious virus, issue with the fax machine etc) then we should jump at it.

We can't deal with the dippers right now.

I fear this game, we can get seriously humilliated. If I could I would sign a 2-0 lost.

We're going to park the bus as Mourinho always does in big games only this time we'll actually lose to Liverpool instead of grinding out a draw because De Gea normally saves us. They're far better than us from a managerial standpoint, the tactics, coaching, play style, they have better personnel all over the pitch too. Actually in this case even ignoring what the managers bring out of each team respectively, only De Gea and Pogba would really get in to their side. Or Klopp would probably love Herrera so can throw him in midfield. But it's amazing how they've surpassed us given where both teams were just a few years ago. All due to the managers.

If we lose this surely it can't get any worse? So little clean sheets all season; only just got positive goal difference thanks to an easy game against a bottom of the table team last weekend which will probably go back to negative after this game; shocking style of play; missing out on an opportunity to finish first in the CL group because of an awful performance; it just goes on.

Surely Mou's got to go if we lose this one? I'm struggling to watch us anymore, and i'm afraid of this scoreline at the weekend. We are going to get humiliated.

They’ll not hammer us, they never do.

They’ll outlplay us and win but I suspect it will be a close score. Probably 2-1 loss, might sneak a draw.

We'll set up to aggravate and foul the hell out of em like the jammy cnuts we've become.

Mourinho will figure out a way to turn this into a boring 0-0.

I can't remember the last time they beat us in the league and it alwasy seems they're the favourites. Was the last defeat against them (in the prem) in the Moyes season?

Fancy us to nick a draw, maybe even a sneaky win :wenger:

When Liverpool was absolute shite they used to play decent against United.. maybe we can be raise our game and play decent against a much better Liverpool?

Yes it was the Moyes loss. Van Gaal lost one in the EL.

Let’s hope Mourinho has been servicing the bus all week ready for parking up on Sunday...

Shocking what’s happened to us. Things can only get better surely?

Well probably lose by the odd goal. Mourinho will put the whole of Manchester in front of Dave.
As for me, I'm probably going to give this a miss. Not looking forward to watch an attack vs defence exercise.

Why does the Utd score prediction only go up to 5 on the drop down. Who is running this site? Clearly that drop down should go at least to 8 or 9.

Get on this admin you scouse apologist lightweights, I want to predict 2-8 to United and your site is denying me my freedom of speech you fascist authoritarians. :)

Salah has finally remembered how to play football after stinking up the place in Egypt. He’ll run riot down our channels

The score prediction doesn't go high enough for how many goals Liverpool will score. We might get one if they feel sorry for us.

    De Gea
    Dalot Bailly Smalling Rojo Young
    Herrera Matic Lingard
    Rashford Martial

That will surely be the team.

We are not going to get battered. This will be a horrible to watch 0-0 draw. Young will pocket Salah as always.

Can't see it being 0-0 for third year running way you're defending this season.

    2-0 Liverpool.

First time in my life I’m not excited for this match. I’d usually be buzzing all week looking forward to this game, the one you look for first when the fixtures are released...gutted.

As always! Or just as he did in the last game? If our hopes of not being humiliated by Liverpool rest on Ashley young hopefully pocketing salah again or Jose setting the team up to not just nullify Liverpool but also prevent a game of football from ever breaking out then it shows just how far we have fell behind.

No chance of another 0-0 like the last few times we’ve been there. We aren’t good enough not to concede in this game if they show up.

Don’t want to see Lukaku anywhere near the lineup.

4-1 to Liverpool, they’ll blitz us early on then we’ll nick a set piece near the end. Grim fecking times.

    De Gea
    Dalot Bailly Smalling Rojo Young
    Herrera Matic Lingard
    Rashford Martial

That will surely be the team.

No way, it’ll be De Gea, Dalot, Smalling, Rojo, Young, Jones, Shaw, Darmian, Mctominay, Matic and Lukaku and we’ll still get thrashed

I'd probably replace Lukaku with Fellaini - it doesn't pay to overcommit offensively in these sorts of games.

    Here's hoping for a thrilless 0-0.
