Everton Football Club (nicknamed The Toffees and The Blues) are a professional football club based in Liverpool, England, and were founded in 1878 as St Domingo's, a sports club for people from the parish of St Domingo's Methodist Church. Everton was a founding member of The Football League in 1888–89, and became the second club ever to be crowned champions of England, after Preston North End in 1888–89, before winning their first FA Cup 1906.

Historically, Everton are one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won 9 League titles, a European Cup Winners' Cup, 5 FA Cups, and 2 League Cups - while hosting the talents of Dixie Dean, Gary Linekar, Alan Ball, Neville Southall, Kevin Ratcliffe, and Wayne Rooney. Everton have play their homes games at Goodison Park since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. Their biggest rivals are neighbours Liverpool, against whom they contest the Merseryside Derby.

Can't see us winning this - and a defeat is entirely possible.

They are above you in the form table. This should be fun.

    De Gea
    Lindelof Jones Blind Shaw
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Mata Lingard
    Martial
Not sure with a lot of it, Lukaku will be out, Young probably suspended. Rashford needs a spell out of the team, regardless of injuries. Ibrahimovic isn't at the level required at all (and apparently out for a month), Mkhitaryan is shite so shouldn't play. Go back to the midfield 3 I say and use Herrera in there to give more freedom to pogba hopefully. Front 3 are our best performing ones, but obviously very reliant on martial there.

I'll be geniunely surprised if we get a point out of this. Confidence is completely shattered, the players look drained of any energy. Can easily see Everton winning 2-0 here, and I'm not being pessimistic.

    Not expecting much from this.

Leicester before drawing with us had been pummelled 3-0 by Palace.
Burnley before drawing with us had been pummelled 3-0 by Spurs.
Southampton before drawing with us had been pummelled 5-2 by Spurs.

Everton have just been beaten 2-1 by Bournemouth. Another draw incoming, and Everton to play out of their skin under Allardyce. It is too easy to get a result against us.

We'll have loads of problems as Sam has the biggest parked bus in the league. At this moment, can't see us getting a win:(

I'm back to the LVG days. My weeks used to revolve around when United were playing, just can't look forward to this crap. If I'm in bed with a hangover and miss the match I won't be upset.

Results prediction describes the mood here at the moment.

    I also went for a 0-0 draw.

Gotta put an extra man in midfield and I think Shaw will be rested, he looked shot in the second half today.

After 3 straight draws, we’re due to lose one aren’t we?

    De Gea
    Darmian Jones Rojo Shaw
    Matic Herrera
    Lingard Pogba Young
    Rashford

That’d be my team. I want Pogba further forward. And play Young on the wing cause why not.

That's such a poor team and bar Martial for Rashford, it's arguably the best we've got. You shouldn't fear playing against that lot.

I was tempted to put McTominay or even Tuanzebe in over Matic.

Matic looks absolutely shattered. And who could blame him. He’s been run into the ground lately.

Everton have been shit. Despite the up turn I've watched them and they are genuinely crap.

Jose can feck off if we don't beat them.

    Lukaku: 10 goals. 4 assist
    Rooney: 10 goals. 2 assist

    Still think that's hilarious.

Anyway. Young to get banned probably? Lukaku out injured. Zlatan injured. Valencia injured. Bailly injured.
We better play a completely different formation where Pogba gets more freedom and we use Matic and Herrera to press and defend because otherwise we're completely screwed.

We have had enough opportunities for a reaction so no confidence we will get one for this game, the players don't even work hard on the pitch for more than 10 minutes.

Just noticed Chelsea and Arsenal are playing each other next week. Well at least there's a good chance we won't be behind Chelsea by too much after the inevitable draw here.

I don't think Everton will defeat us. Sam will park his fecking bus and without Lukaku, no chance we'll break it. Most predicted 0-0 ever.

Why is our F.A. Cup game on Friday and not on TV?
I think it's on Friday because City are also playing at home that weekend and we're not allowed to both have home games the same weekend. EDIT: It'll take place concurrently with the Liverpool-Everton game, I can understand why the BBC chose that one for TV over United-Derby.

I'm going for a comfortable draw or a convincing loss. Sadly think we'll lose.

Last season, we specialised in drawing games.
This season, we have drawn our last 3 league games.
    So...1-1?
