Swansea City Association Football Club, also known as The Swans, or The Jacks (the reason behind the latter is unclear, but there are two possible origins: one is the reputation of local seamen "Jack Tars" in the early 19th Century, while the other is the black retriever dog called Swansea Jack who rescued no fewer than 27 people from drowning in the River Tawe and Swansea Docks during the 1930s) are a Welsh professional football club based in Swansea, Wales; and were founded in 1912 as Swansea Town. In 2011 Swansea City became the first Welsh football club to gain promotion to the Premier League, and have since built a firm reputation as one of the most attack minded clubs in the league professing an attractive brand of football, starting with former Everton manager and current Belgian national team head coach, Roberto Martinez in League One, and subsequently the likes of Brendan Rodgers and Brian Laudrup.

"We should try to make it hard for them and steal a point!" is something you wouldn't think a United fan would be saying. But uhm ... can't really see a firework of a game happening here.

Need to give Shaw and Rashford a rest. I'd try something different like Carrick or Micky just to shake things up a bit.

Wasn't confident before tonight! Hope to see a backlash but with the mental fragility of these players, can see us maybe holding on to a draw.

5-0 swansea. With everyone of them being rabonna flicks from half way line.

The pressure will really be on Jose if we lose this game, surely we must at least get a draw here?

I hate how much my expectations have dropped.

Swansea love to play us of late and I see a draw at best for us but if putting money on it I would go for a Swansea win. 2-1

Pogba looks a doubt so I would have to go with his team and play on the counter. Although knowing Jose who seems to have inherited the dodgy team selection and subs curse will no doubt persist with Zlatan, maybe even play Rooney, Fellaini and waste Rashford on the wing.

    ----------De Gea
    Darmian Blind Rojo Shaw
    --Schneiderlin Carrick
    --Lingard Mata Martial
    ---------Rashford

No Pogba and Herrera is too big a blow, we're likely to line up with a robotic and immobile midfield, think this could be another loss, I do think it's time Fosu-Mensah and Ro-Shaun Williams were put in the squad, our defence is too slow, weak and lacks athleticism. Better yet play Young at full back.

    De Gea
    Darmian Tuanzebe Rojo Blind
    Carrick
    Rooney Mata
    Mkhitaryan Ibrahimovic Martial

Shaw has been shite if we're being honest, so I would drop him. Jones is probably going to get injured by then, so give Tuanzebe a chance. Why not. Can't be worse then Blind at right center back. Tfm/Darmian at right back, neither are really great options but doesn't make a difference really. Poop for poop. If pogba is injured, then I'm at a loss for who to partner Carrick with. Rooney and Mata I guess, since you can't ever fault their effort (with Rooney) while Mata is obviously good. Rooney to be fair to him has looked a bit sharper recently, and today was one of our best players, though that one touch he had was tumescent. Ibra up top because Rashford has been gashford the past month, while Martial and Mkhitaryan simply have to start on the wings because they are WAY better then anyone else we have out wide. And hey, it might just work out having them there. Can't be worse then Rashford and Lingard though.

    Team should be...

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Darmian--Smalling--Blind--Shaw
    -------Carrick-------Schneiderlin-------
    Lingard-------Mata-------Martial
    ---------------Zlatan---------------

Subs: Romero, TFM, Fellaini, Young, Memphis, Rashford, Rooney

This isnt going to be good. I will watch it, but im not expecting much.

Away games after the Europa are always fun.

If we can manage not to concede in the first 2mins we have a chance though!

Having 3 of the first choice back 4 out is a growing disaster though.

This will be Bob Bradley's coronation.

No chance we get a result here playing the tumescent shite we saw on display today.

Also, now would be a good time to bring Bastian back - with Herrera suspended, Pogba injured, Schneiderlin fragile, Fellaini unconvincing and Carrick injured (I think).

I have no idea of my team yet , but one think I don know , it will not contain BFS , I doubt he will be in the 1st team again, his recall to 1st team training , IMHO is all for selling him in January.

    DDG
    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
    Carrick Fellaini/ Pogba
    Lingard Mata Martial
    Zlatan

Will be a poor, tight game but hopefully we can nick it.....hope to see but won't see

    -------------------------De Gea-----------------------------
    Fosu-Mensah ----Smalling---Rojo------Blind
    -------------Carrick------Schneiderlin ------------
    -----Mhiki-------------Mata---------------Martial
    -----------------------'Rashford-----------------------

    DDG
    Darmian - Smalling - Blind - Shaw
    Mata - Carrick - Pogba
    Miki - Rashford - Martial

Id love to see that, assuming Pogba and Smalling can play. Everyone in roughly their correct position, and plenty of pace, power and composure.

Fully expecting Zlatan to be shoehorned in 3 days after Fenerbache, Rashford to be shunted to the wing, and Fellaini to stink up a 2 man midfield because Swansea's mascot is over 6'.

Istanbul is a frighteningly intimidating place to play away to. I remember Galatasary thumping us a few times at home under Fergie many moons ago. I have a good feeling that Jose will get us back on track away to Swansea on Sunday if Smalling and Pogba are fit. If not then we might be screwed. But a 1-2 away win with Fellaini and Martial scoring how it will end

    We always lose against Swansea......

    Carrick needs to start.

Personally, I want to see a little width. Left footed players on the left, and right footed players on the right. So tired of this inverted winger nonsense. People also underestimate the multiplying effect of high workrate players, such as Lingard.

Jones will get some laughs, but I'll tell you what...the one thing that kid has is some serious passion, heart and determination. All virtues sorely lacking these days.

Subs: Johnstone, Rojo, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Rooney, Rashford, Ibrahimovich

This is a must win game. Yet I think we'll have a lot of the ball but fail to get the result we need. Swansea have done well against us at their place so could even see them getting the win :(

    DDG

    Darmian Blind Rojo Shaw

    Carrick

    Schneiderlin Pogba

    Rashford Zlatan Martial

*expect Pogba's leg to be fine. He really needs to pick up his performances. The negative press is starting on him I feel.

    *Zlatan needs a goal

Swansea were dire against Stoke and a defensive shambles against us and Bradley still has no clue what his best defence is. Should be a win for United. Then again, you can never tell with your team.
