What's it like controlling Ronaldo?

I've heard they've got his run spot on this year and if you hold down the sprint button he's like lightening

So far he feels like a fecking beast, compared to playing as Malouda with Chelsea it feels so free playing with him. He is lightning quick too.

Scored my second goal, penalty from Ronaldo after Ronaldo himself was fouled.

Teams will be updated for full version, aye?

Real have VdV and no Ozil :(

My first game:

Real 1 - 0 Juventus

Ronaldo in the 76th

I really like the feel of this game and how it plays. Very impressed

Scored my first headed goal, Higuain scored it from a Sergio Ramos cross after he surged forward from RB.

There are so many minor details in this that make it up to quite a big improvement. The tackling, sliding and standing. Passing (oh my days the passing :droool: ). Player reactions, the player movements, the way they control the ball. It all seems different to FIFA 10 but in a good way obviously.

It all just feels more natural smoother, while still being awesome to play.

Second game I beat Chelsea 2-0 with Barca, Villa and Messi the scorers.

Just scored a beauty with Messi, will try and upload it. Seems you can't save to harddrive on the demo.

I like it, first game 1-0 with Real vs. Lyon.

Over-head kick by Higuain on the rebound of a curled Di Maria shot.

I also saw Pedro chest it down for Villa to run onto, smooooth

My Messi goal, until it actually loads on the site.

I had the ball on the RW with Messi, played it to Xavi who had moved on the flank ahead of me, I turned with Xavi and played a snap pass into the box to Villa, who laid the ball off for Messi who had continued his run from the wing and I curled it beautifully round the keeper.

A lot of the niggly fouls from FIFA 10 and the WC game seem to have gone, which is good.

So it's still not available for xbox then? I set the locale to the u.s

Wow....

I mean wow....

It's exactly the same as the WC game.

There is so little difference it's almost insulting

Shooting, ball physics, lots of things if you're going to justify releasing a new game....You say that, but what was wrong with FIFA 95?...Things can always be improved on.

It reminds me of PES 6/7 and FIFA 07....PES was still the better game, but it seemed to be resting on it's laurels and releasing the same game with minor tweaks while FIFA kept improving and improving. It's still the best, but I'm dissapointed how little they've done....It's a bit of a rinse. I mean that graphics aren't even better. That's the minimum requirement of a new release surely?

There are very tiny details that have been improved on most aspects, you will notice it more and more if you play the demo some more. You just sound pompous, go back to playing your beloved PES;)(fanboy)

OMG!..WOW...LOLZ

better? :smirk:

For me, releasing 3 games in just over a year, and all of them being roughly the same, is a bit of a cheap trick. If I'm gonna spend £30 + quid on each, I'd like them to be noticeably different.

It's clear from the demos that the people at PES have been doing more work. Now, that's clearly cos they had more work to do, but this kind of blase "meh, we don't really need to do anything to it" attitude to it's output is precisely why FIFA overtook PES in the first place..

It's still better than PES though, hence the PES 6 /FIFA 07 comparissons...But if they genuinely think there's nothing to do to it, then I can see PES only getting closer in the next few years.

There's no doubt that people who pay good money for the game deserve more than a few 'tweaks'. When FIFA became really good you could see how much they had improved the game. And I agree, the minimum requirement should be a graphical leap. In general, every year you get games that set a new standard visually. I find it bizarre that a football game should stay static. They could do that via a patch.

With the same hardware on Xbox's and PS3's, isn't it hard to improve graphics as they are using the hardware to almost its full potential already? If there was a new console then of course you'd expect a big change.

But tbf Mockney, as someone else has said, if you hanv't played the last couple of games regularly you won't reckognise the number of tweaks here and there that they have made. They've pretty much had it nailed for a year or so now, with 360 dribbling etc.

I do think they should try and make the crowd look half decent though, it looked better on Fifa 94. Anyway, I havn't even tried the game yet - as it's not out for demo for the Xbox in the UK until tonight - so could be talking utter bollox.

graphics will stay pretty much the same until ps4, xbox720 come about, imo

I think I've read somewhere that FIFA is developed on the ps3 and then ported to the xbox, so I guess they can't do anything fancy graphically, because then it would be a major pain in the arse to port it to the xbox.

Thanks for that Mockney. I fear the others are just caught in the excitment and hype.

I expect i'll buy PES this year, not because it's any better, but because I fancy a change.

The WC game is very good but I found it quite repetative in that all the goals are the same.

Have we come to any consensus on where the best place to pre-order from is?

As it's 50 feckin quid on the EA sports site. Anyone point me in the direction of this unlockable 6 minute halves malarky?

jumbopig elvis..and my american one is jumbopog.

To be fair, i can see the predicament they're in. It's not like an album or a film or a book where the maker can spend as long as they like developing it, or set a date they think'll be reasonable, until it's good. They have to hit the same mark every year, mandatorily, so there's an inevitable amount of "this is sort of the same" overlap for sure...It's a bit harsh to criticise them harshly for it, but unfortunately it does just feel like exactly the same game with some tweaks. Which sort of just makes it feel like I'm buying it for the kits...Which is a bit bonkers really. Especially since I basically will buy it for the kits, and minor player updates, like it's crack...But it feels like a re-mastered Album, rather than a new album is my point. There's little or no freshness to it. Which may in the end affect it's replayability...I'm already getting a bit tired of the WC one, so I can't really see myself being desperate to play this every night.

Just checked my pre-order on Shopto. Turns out not only had i pre-ordered it for the PS3 by mistake instead of 360, i'd also managed to pre-order 5 copies of Football Manager 2011. Thank feck i checked.

On the plus side of the reviews, I never played the World Cup game, so couldn't care less if it played the same.

Turns out this unlocking 6 minute halves is complete bollocks then? Can anyone conform this?

People need to realize that this is just a football game, I doesn't get much better than this. If you want more go out and play yourself.

Not sure what your talking about Mockers. I found the shooting a bit of an improvement over the WC version, in saying that, it feels different. After a while it gets alot better. I also suspect all the pro modes are a significant improvement.
