It did to me. And Im built exactly like Bruno. Shy of 180cm tall, and skinny uder 70kg weight.Wtf is that?
The guy is built like a middle/long distance runner adding muscle mass really isn't going to do anything positive for him.
Never did I say Bruno would go for "free". I just said that 80 (100!) milion from Saudis or Madrid is a dreamland territory. Henderson was sold for about 15mil, Bruno would be somewhere in the middle of that and that fantasy 80mil.A page ago he compared Jordan Henderson’s move to Saudi as reason why Fernandes wouldn’t go for any money if we sold.

Im not saying he should gain a lot of mass, it would hamper his acceleration and stamina. It happened to me after gaining a lot of mass in short time. But to not put an ounce of muscless on his skinny body, in a decade, is not a good look. Just look at slight Ronaldo when he arrived, and compare it to when he left for Madrid.

Yeah, I'm calling bs that you put on 7 kilos of muscle in 3 months with protein shakes and creatine alone.I had gained 7 KG of muscles in space of 3 months.
I agree. There are definitely a few indicators there for him to age better than others players. But those indicators aren't guarantees. If I would say "he will decline" thats just as speculative as you saying "he isn't going to decline". Hence why I did use the word "likely". And if you wouldn't be as eager to find anything to jump on, you could have saved yourself the effort of aforementioned jump. He's not like the majority of players though.
Well mate, thats your projection working overhours here... Because if you have read my posts, you would have seen that I don't see any chance of him leaving. Not sure how that would make me "giddy".And yes, you may be getting giddy at the thought of Bruno leaving United
Easy here soldier. You wouldn't want to give your irrationality away, don't you?, but I'll always be here to call you out on your bullshit.
And you think mine wasn't?Its called Sarcasm!![]()
And you think mine wasn't?
Yes, and I can do it again. Do you fancy a bet? Looser will pay 100 quid to this forum and charity of their choice.Yeah, I'm calling bs that you put on 7 kilos of muscle in 3 months with protein shakes and creatine alone.
We watched very different games.... Despite his decent form before the international break, I thought he was awful tonight. Gave the ball away something rotten all gameIt'll probably be overlooked since we lost but Bruno has an unbelievable performance today.
Huh, certainly wouldn't agree to this. It'll probably be overlooked since we lost but Bruno has an unbelievable performance today.
He operated in bigger space and I think Forrest started to sit a little deeper when their energy levels dropped.I liked him better when he was moved into the midfield role. Did alright, not great though.
Yes as opposed to arguing with everybody else as per tha majority of your recent posts by the look of itAre you.. arguing with yourself?

I wouldn't care, as long as we got a huge fee for him and replaced him with a genuinely exciting, high potential player.Say we loose to Lyon and Bruno throws in the towel and demands a move. Would you be sad, angry or not caring? Would you want him to leave?
Since he is our captain, plays more or less all the time, shoots the most, has the most points in total and most goals and assist. He, for me, would be a big loss. Not just in quality, but also in morale. He would be the flag carrier leaving.
He would also be darn expensive to replace.
You think he could do this? Do you think he would do it? Do you even think he should do it?
And thank goodness he did sign that contract.I wouldn't care, as long as we got a huge fee for him and replaced him with a genuinely exciting, high potential player.
I don't see him pushing to leave. That was last summer and he made his bed by signing a new contract.
I think, it is mostly this. I mean, progressing the ball is one of the most relevant aspects of football and our midfield is made from players who are mostly really bad at this. Add to that that none our attacking players bar Amad had a season that would at least be considered above average and you see how vital Bruno capabilities are. He could be played at WB or at CB and he would still stick out positively because of it.He has been better while playing deeper this season. The question is whether that will continue, or whether that's a symptom of us not having anyone else in the deeper position who can control the team around?
Difficult to say and depends on what Amorim wants his 10s to do. He can be absolutely deadly with his passing and he is good for a goal here and there, so it certainly isn't impossible come up with a plan that makes use of it. That said, his abilities with the ball at his feet aren't great. Which potentially would even be emphasized the further forward he plays. If we sign somebody who can do that next season will Bruno's performances at #10 pick up again?
As long as we don't go for a top class midfielder, I don't see how we could overcome our issues short-term. I think, we have to add a player that is better on the ball and stronger overall, but combined with a passing ability that doesn't have to be close to Brunos but 80-85% of it. I hope he isn't seen as a long term solution in the centre of the pitch.Or is the deeper role where he's going to mostly play from this point forward?
For sure. I think, the teams that have a high likelyhood of winning trophies wouldn't go for him due to age and wages and I think he has a very comfortable position with us that he isn't going to throw away. He could have half his goals and assists and he'd still be considered the best player in the team. He has fans in here where he could rob their homes and they'd still celebrate him "working his socks off".I wouldn't care, as long as we got a huge fee for him and replaced him with a genuinely exciting, high potential player.

On the flip side he has united 'fans' in here where he could score a CL final hat trick and save their mothers from a burning building and they'd still say he's overrated and holding us back.I think, it is mostly this. The guy isn't going anywhere.
I would have preferred that he didn't. Don't get me wrong, he has stepped it up recently in Amad's absence. However, he had time remaining on his previous deal. The new contract was all about Bruno threatening to leave and the club bowing to his demands. That's not a good position to be in as a club. I would have preferred it if we had called his bluff, accepted a huge fee and reinvested accordingly. We may even have ended up becoming a better team as a result. And thank goodness he did sign that contract.
