Ayden Heaven | 2024/25 Performances

Wouldn't want to read too much into a small sample size of games, but when a player only costs £1.5m or so there's massive potential for upside even if he just ends up being okay. And early signs are good on that front.

Arsenal is a joke for letting him go. He seams like a player with lots of potential. He’s 18 but looks so composed and moves well off the ball too. Very good performance today

Looking a really good signing so far, very calm & composed for such a young lad. Thanks Arsenal, keep sending them on.

Looks like he has the right ingredients. He has all the things the Martinez lacks - height, athleticism, pace. Refreshing to see. Yoro and him are exactly the profile of players you need in this system.
Yeah. Which is why it was annoying that people always pencilled in Martinez into any lineup for the future. You can see how valuable it is to have a player that isn’t having to compensate for big time physical deficiencies

Besides Ratcliffe will recoup the money by firing people and saving wages

Dont think thats the case. They have not only better options for starting but also better cover than we have. He simply wouldnt have played for Arsenal because even at fullback they have CBs, so if they have injury problems at CB they already have it covered with Timber and Califiori.

It is a shame that players who arent near the Arsenal first team have to start for us but it shows where we are at the moment...

Positive part is that we seem to have gotten a talented player very cheap.

Looked very assured today, one bad moment with the early nutmeg, and was played into trouble by an awful Casemiro pass, but other than that was great.

He's got some great athleticism already at his age, potentially has a very bright future

Not bad and can definitely be part of the squad. Don't think there's was that much to really get carried away, and the back 3 definitely helps young CB's get settled, so we'll see. For next year I think it's clear what our main group will be anyway:
  • RCB - Yoro and Mazraoui
  • CB - de ligt and Maguire
  • LCB - Martinez and heaven
While Martinez is healing, I'd imagine that we see the other 4 all rotate mainly and Heaven back them up, but still at his age good that he can get games and be seen as a genuinely decent option.

He gives me Wes Brown vibes for some reason. Natural Defender, they tried targeting him and he just kept on dealing with them.
Promising player.

Very very impressive again.

Seems to be a steal. I’d play him ahead of Martinez every day of the week.

Man, they're going to regret letting him go. Stepped up big time. Very classy.

They wanted to keep him but he was out of contract and refusing to renew.

Few of Arsenal lads who watched him played rate him.

Hope he keeps developing. I love these under the radar signings that come good better than any big money signing.

Composed on the ball. Not flustered at all during the game. Physically up for it.
What’s not to like? Great potential hope he keeps it up.

Impressive. Great to see another young lad break through and look like the senior game doesn't phase them one bit. Not sure what his actual ceiling is but if he even works out as a squad player then it's still excellent business and a tasty bit of scouting. As someone mentioned earlier tonight. Probably the kind of player we get linked with for big bucks once they leave Arsenal on a free and head to Brentford or Palace for a few years and shine there. The LCB is such is specialist role too. I wonder what else these lads are cooking up behind the scenes? Obi already looks a decent squad option too. If they can genuinely spot an overlooked player that's about to break through or that is high quality but is being blocked off by senior players and needs more attention to blossom then there are bargains galore if you know where to look.

I think we'll get lots of signings like this in the summer.

The likes of Dorgu, Heaven, Leon etc.

Cheap young players on low salaries.

Sir Jim said he wanted us to be the most profitable club and that's how you achieve it.

Looking very solid so far. £1.5m is a steal. You can't lose at that price.

He looks like he could make it, still a long way to go but hasn't really put a foot wrong.

Wilcox is a champion in deals like this. He was probably our best signing.

He wasn’t overlooked by Arsenal infact he was highly rated there(same as Chido Obi) but they couldn’t guarantee him 1st team playing and Utd offered him more money and playing time.

Very good start here. Mature play so far. Many good choices, seemingly calm under pressure so far. Between him and Yoro you’r bound to think we’ll have at least one CB position sorted for a while.

Lego Pep or money.
