Southgate is an awful manager, gets punished for his cowardly approach everytime yet he persists with the same tactics. Control the game but as soon as you score he sets the team back no matter what minute it is.
I can only imagine how that affects the players belief, when the opposition scores then all the momentum and preassure turns. It's just poor tactics, it takes a special talent to make a team with so much talent on the pitch look so poor.

Been a bit disappointed with Hojlund and Bellingham. Both pretty anonymous so far.
This England midfield is terrible, zero control and defensively naive. Just because Trent can ping a few long passes it doesn't mean he's a CM, he doesn't have the positional awareness or work rate to play there, plus he might be able to hit long passes but his short to mid passing is nothing to write home about. Then you have Bellingham and Foden who aren't doing enough when they get the ball and Southgate needs to face the fact that his "tactics" aren't working.
The whole left side is a right state to be fair. Shaw will make some difference in terms of more natural width down that side.
