You are calling for heads in your post. Just for all other heads except his.

Cause i dont like watching us get turned over by every man and his dog. I’d rather have played a solid low block instead of leaving huge gaps in midfield yet again for 3 grandads to cover. You simply can’t play that way with Cas, Evans and Eriksen on the pitch. A bit of common sense would be nice.First thing is we don't have enough defensive players to do it and if we're not planning on playing that way in the future, what's the point?
I imagine it's because he was best buds with Ashworth.
I can’t see why Southgate would be interested in the United job, or any club job really. He’s currently managing his national team on (I assume) a good wage. The squad that he has access to is guaranteed to take him to the latter stages of any tournament on their own sheer quality regardless of how he sets them up, and there are many more quality players in the pipeline. There is very little pressure on him in his job to achieve more than what he’s currently achieving and there don’t seem to be any murmurs of discontent or someone else being sought after for the job.Tweet

Well you've hit the nail on the head there mate, there will be no long term gain in persevering with a system that isn't working (probably not even with our best XI) because it will get him sacked and unless for some inexplciable reason the next manager decides to play exactly the same way then it's all been a pointless endevour.Well I don't think it's imagined or that he's entirely wrong either. But it was clearly impractical with the resources he had and ultimately a failure. Hard to deny he lacked street smarts in how he went about this.
It's the common "blame everyone bar the manager" theme that RedCafe is very fond of.You are calling for heads in your post. Just for all other heads except his.
So why is ETH exempt from judgement and consequences and not his current goalkeeper coach, fitness coaches, Fletcher, McLaren etc?Perhaps so.
I don’t think a season of pretty much awful game after game after game… and seemingly getting worse, is impatient.Footballing structure + best in class coaches for goalkeeping, defending, set pieces and attacking and then whatever coach comes should thrive.
Main thing is getting every other puzzle piece in place. I genuinely still think ETH will be here next year. I think everything else needs to change first around the club.
Then again I'm probably a little too patient compared to some calling for heads.
Hopefully false. Looks peak Glazers otherwise. The mere fact they'd consider Southgate and only going back on the thought after fan reaction doesn't fill me with optimism.
Are deep block/counter and the non existent midfield set up of this season the only 2 possible options? The way we are playing is predicated on the idea that we have to evolve the football and not go backwards to a deep sitting counter attack. Because if we do that we will never evolve. We will just carry on buying the kind of players that fit that system. There is a logic to ETH's position, even if we look like a pile of shite and lose every game. I mean at this point in the season does it actually matter that much?
I mean yeah, it's fekkin stupid. But that's the nature of being stuck with players and not being able to spend your way out of a hole. It will take time to clean up this mess.
I'm hoping that's the case. Imagine finally getting the right people in the right positions, to land on Southgate as our next manager. It just doesn't make sense.Hopefully false. Looks peak Glazers otherwise.
ETH isn't a giant victim, but appointments need to made across the board first. So why is ETH exempt from judgement and consequences and not his current goalkeeper coach, fitness coaches, Fletcher, McLaren etc?
They're failing him, just like the players and Murtough, and he's just a giant victim in it all?
You didn’t read my post, did you?!I thought about it and it still doesn't make sense. It isn't the same bloody squad, so it can't have been in decline for 11 years.
There is no could. Footmercato has no source of their own, it's an aggregator that decided to also make things up a few years ago. It's like quoting a random redditor. He could be full of shit, but this has been a consistent rumour for months. There's no smoke without fire, someone is feeding the press this.
fypThey should bring Ole back for the rest of the season then go in on Tuchel.
Ten Hag isn't cut out for it. Anygreatmanager shouldwouldbe able to work with what they have and make the team play well as a group - he can't.
Absolutely stupid move if true. Southgate has failed at club level, he’s doing OK with the National Team as he gets the pick of the bunch from every club. Also, we need somebody up and running as soon as possible to prepare for next season - can’t wait until the Euros are over. Just get Tuchel as soon as Bayern have finished with ECL imo.Tweet

I read it, yes. Not that I needed to as I'm well aware of the make-up of the various squads we've had over the last 11 years. Your original statement still makes no sense. You didn’t read my post, did you?!
He’d earn more with us. National Team Manager salary was not great until recently.I can’t see why Southgate would be interested in the United job, or any club job really. He’s currently managing his national team on (I assume) a good wage. He is in about as ideal a position as he could ever find himself in. The club management scene is far more volatile with a lot more pressure and expectation. I can’t see why it would appeal to him unless he has it in his mind that he can succeed in club football and wants to have a go at it again.
Brexit Jim taking it too far.Tweet

Ok, whatever.I read it, yes. Not that I needed to as I'm well aware of the make-up of the various squads we've had over the last 11 years. Your original statement still makes no sense.
Yeah sort of reminds me when we got linked to Arnautovic and canned the idea of signing him due to the huge fan backlashThe mere fact they'd consider Southgate and only going back on the thought after fan reaction doesn't fill me with optimism.
NO.Bayern Munich fans WANT Ten Hag. The level of fanboying going on in their forum is mind-blowing. You´d think they are talking about Klopp or Guardiola over there. Absolute scenes. Goldy should open a Bayern Munich Stand. They would eat it up. Their whole FanForum still picking ETH over Tuchel AFTER the game last night.
True, however it needs a reliable source to come out and squash this before it gets too much tractionIt is hilarious how one nobody from a nobody outlet makes a link to Southgate and they all jump on it within the space of 30 minutes.
They know it's the link that sells the most clicks because oppo fans love it and we absolutely despise it.
You know nothing, to be honest. He's a journalist and gets what he's given or the club want him to have. I'm pretty sure Scholes, Owen, Neville etc all talk to each other and probably still many people involved at the club. If you don't think they know anything then that is what is hilarious.I mean, we know the bold bit alone is bollocks. Quite embarrassing how little you know about Mitten. Your view on ex players is quite hilarious.
The thought is too damn scary. It is hilarious how one nobody from a nobody outlet makes a link to Southgate and they all jump on it within the space of 30 minutes.

It's got to right? As what other accounts will the money come from but the clubs revenues?QQ, if we were to pay Newcastle compensation to take DA early, does that count in FFP or whatever form it is now
Great player. Championship Manager beast.Scares the shit out of me. Thankfully this Santi guy is a fraud. And why this fraud has Alvaro Recoba as his profile pic?
I just pray they choose the right one and that's certainly never gonna be relegation gateThe thought is too damn scary.
Theyl ramp it up with how we are deciding between a proven winner in Tuchel but prefer a British approach in Southgate
That’s what I thought. Something else to take into account when the moaners are saying we’re going too slow to bring in AshworthIt's got to right? As what other accounts will the money come from but the clubs revenues?
Seriously, what has Southgate done to qualify for this job? He has an array of talents to choose from and has he won anything yet in football as a coach? @United, he doesn't have the luxury to call upon players when they are injured. If Ineos appoint him, that's some serious shit in mismanagement.I can’t see why Southgate would be interested in the United job, or any club job really. He’s currently managing his national team on (I assume) a good wage. The squad that he has access to is guaranteed to take him to the latter stages of any tournament on their own sheer quality regardless of how he sets them up, and there are many more quality players in the pipeline. Im hopeful this was nonsense, you never know in football but 90% of transfer rumors' are BS, and as the leak came before we had a CEO, DOF at the club there is a good chance its BS.The mere fact they'd consider Southgate and only going back on the thought after fan reaction doesn't fill me with optimism.
Didn't the reported best DOF in football try to nurture Gary Neville to become the England boss before he crashed and burned, then elevated Southgate to his current role?No fecking way the guy from City and the reported best DOF in football think he is the best option. I refuse to believe that. Just trolls being trolls.
