The club were dammed if they did or didn’t but now he needs replacing so the Glazers you need to put your hand in your pocket and get a replacement in now.
Jesus give it a rest ffs. Your just trolling with your drivel now.It was all about money and the consequence of backlash from the mob.
But no proof in a court of lawOut of context right guys?
The complainant’s statements, together with the audio and video evidence we all know about, could have made for a compelling prosecution case - possibly more than is usually seen in DV cases. But it all hinged on the complainant’s ongoing cooperation. Once it became clear that she’d made up her mind - forget about it.Curious why they decided to pursue charges in the first place. This took nearly two years and IIRC, they even added more charges in the middle of it.
The club have also said they believe he didn't do those things. He isn't going to say he did.
I wouldn’t be so sure! There have been many rumours in the last couple of years of players accused of horrible sexual crimes and they are still playing as if nothing happened! No it isn’t. Our fanbase isn’t special, he’s not going to be welcomed at any top club in this country.
I'm not here to judge. He has a baby with his partner and consequences will not only impact him but his partner and newborn. Think it's time for us to move ahead.Whatever the truth may be? So you’d wish him a great career even if you believed him to be guilty?
That’s proof of him being a pretty horrible person, not rape. Something which he wasn’t charged with. He was charged with attempted rape. Something the club have decided based on their findings he wasn’t guilty of also. But no proof in a place of court
fecking hellRidiculous decision. The kid needed the club’s support, not thrown onto a heap.
There are loads of accused and convicted criminals living a normal life in football, supported by their clubs. But United has to take the rogue route.
They’ve lost even more of my respect.
Correct we don't know. So we should stop going around saying we do is the pointYeah but we don't have the full evidence or context of what he said before or 5 hours after so it can't be used.
It’s fecking nonsense, and people eating it up should be ashamed of themselves.I've just read Mason't statement. I don't understand exactly. He's unequivocal that he didn't assault his partner. It's confusing me and gives me another kind of impression. However, if that's the case, then how would he still be with her? In any case, they both need to get therapy.
The moment that recording came out, it became everyone connected with this club's business. He didn't rape her, but did he try?He didn't rape her. The actual story is their business, we don't have a right to know.
Maybe they dont want to make it more public than it already is. You can see how people are quick in judging others with limited information. So why hasn't that come out and how does that still not end up with him having to leave, when it comes out she has lied?
The police and legal teams don't start building and preparing cases if someone doesn't make a credible allegation. Credible in the fact he was arrested and questioned and charged with a crime, and it was referred to the CPS etc.Do you have actual evidence as to Why she changed her mind, if she even did at all?
It’s somehow even worse!! “We respect the anonymity of his ‘alleged’ accuser, but also here’s why we think she’s a liar… no we can’t actually tell you, but trust us, he’s innocent, but also he admits he’s made mistakes and we have to bin him”Yep. The same thing he did with the Women at the club too.
Yes, it was. For which he was fired and practically chased out of the country. Greenwood can move on too if he wants. Just not here.He sent unsolicited dick pics to women he had no relationship with. It's a sexual offence.
People made their minds up long ago mate. It’s stubbornness.Correct we don't know. So we should stop going around saying we do is the point
He was also charged with assault and controlling and cohesive behaviour which the club also say they do not believe he is guilty ofThat’s proof of him being a pretty horrible person, not rape. Something which he wasn’t charged with. He was charged with attempted rape. Something the club have decided based on their findings he wasn’t guilty of also.
Let’s not go down the youved said similar things on an internet forum line, anyway. . .said similar things in the other thread but you seem to be more interested in throwing accusations around than having a conversation about it. Do you honestly believe it's only about some sort of morally superior feeling for the majority of people? Is the idea that many would just not be able to support Greenwood so outlandish to you? This is a far too sensitive and emotional subject to throw baseless accusations around like you're doing.
I don’t believe the majority of people are represented on football forums. Something you’d have read elsewhere considering you’ve cited my post history so no would be the answer.Do you honestly believe it's only about some sort of morally superior feeling for the majority of people?
Is the idea that many fans do not participate in debates on twitter & forums this will not be as partisan to their opinions as you’d like us all to be?Is the idea that many would just not be able to support Greenwood so outlandish to you?
Those accusations would be what exactly? This is a far too sensitive and emotional subject to throw baseless accusations around like you're doing.
It is tasteless, as you say, and in its attempt to provide an explanation for the previous leaks (basically the same people testing the waters), ironically, it exposes the club's general ineptitude. He's basically saying that the club wanted him back, but there's not a single person in the organization willing to be held accountable for making this decision.Arnold’s statement is hugely irresponsible. As is already evident, all the worst people are going to take it as basic confirmation his accuser lied, based on secret contextual evidence we can’t see, all to protect a CEOs decision making. Horrible shit
Difference is they’ve not been as mainstream and spoken about as openly, people who aren’t even football fans know about this.I wouldn’t be so sure! There have been many rumours in the last couple of years of players accused of horrible sexual crimes and they are still playing as if nothing happened!
No the club said after a lengthy investigation the evidence collected shows he did not do what he he was accused of doing. There's no believe or not believe involved. The club have also said they believe he didn't do those things.
Why would Mason accept a mutual termination when he is innocent in the law's eyes? He should get paid the contract in full, shouldn't he?Pretty sure he's going to have his contract mutually terminated.
We're not getting any money for him....
It never went to court. But no proof in a court of law
“I’d say” is not a fact but an opinion. There are no facts in your responseThe police and legal teams don't start building and preparing cases if someone doesn't make a credible allegation. Credible in the fact he was arrested and questioned and charged with a crime, and it was referred to the CPS etc.
The fact this process of a case being prepared against him then collapsed AND THE REASON GIVEN BY ALL PARTIES WAS that the victim changed their mind, I'd say that's evidence she changed her mind.
You and many others will be wrong. He will spend a few years abroad then sign with a club in England. No it isn’t. Our fanbase isn’t special, he’s not going to be welcomed at any top club in this country.
I didn't say that he was legally guilty and I didn't insult anyone. You also didn't tell what the CPS said which was the reason why I quoted you in the first place and your response was that I was quibbling on semantics.No.. it was her not wanting to proceed and testify and something else. And, as in two things. I'm telling you what the CPS said and you still want to say he's guilty that's your right but it isn't factual. you can be insulting about "wanting to argue" all you like. that doesn't change the facts
In this case a combination of the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction. In these circumstances, we are under a duty to stop the case.
You are either mixing me up with someone else or you have a small issue with lying.I guess that might be something to do with the new evidence the CPS mentioned when they dropped the case and the family agreed with it
who says UK is the only place he can continue his career? No it isn’t. Our fanbase isn’t special, he’s not going to be welcomed at any top club in this country.
Shows he did not, and we believe he did not is the same thingNo the club said after a lengthy investigation the evidence collected shows he did not do what he he was accused of doing. There's no believe or not believe involved.
We're mes que un clubNo surprise here. Wonder if he'll come back to the premier league eventually. I mean, Alonso is playing in Spain again now after what he did.
Why? Mason has a valid contract with us. If we are terminating it we have to pay him out.Pretty sure he's going to have his contract mutually terminated.
We're not getting any money for him....
If you and your partner make a recording where it sounds like one is about to rape the other, people are going to think one of you is a rapist until you actually explain what the feck is going on.A bondage BDSM roleplay?
What the feck do we know what turns them on?
Cos it's kinda embarrassing? So why hasn't that come out and how does that still not end up with him having to leave, when it comes out she has lied?
