Yehh. Jassim’s dad’s newspaper have broken the news. Then that’s backed up by the shares on the up. 250k shares have been bought so far.

No promising updates I'm afraid, no. The Class A share price has spiked 16.7% in after-hours trading (an indicator that some traders think Qatar is more likely to win the bid). It spiked a lot higher than that earlier in this takeover saga and nothing happened. It may or may not mean anything, but some some United fans on Twitter are very excited.
He knows a lot of journalists. He may be an idiot, but he's a good favour and exposure for a lot of journalists who like to have him onside.

You have to take it with a bucket of salt. All we have is Qatari newspapers assuming and some market sentiment. It's not substantial but it's something.

If you watch odd clips of him, he comes across as just a bit of an idiot. Which he is, but if you watch enough of it, he definitely has good links. I'm not saying he knows more than most on this issue in particular but like it or not, he certainly does get insider info early. Last season he broke the Ronaldo absence first (towards end of season), one of the kit leaks they posted first and there are other examples too that I'm forgetting.

A Qatari media outlet which is apparently owned by the father of Sheikh Jassim posted today saying SJ had acquired Utd and it would be announced soon. That was followed by a few other Twitter accounts confirming similar. We’ve not had anything of note from the British media yet though.
