So this guy from Qatar is basically the cousin the of the current Emir of Qatar. His dad used to be their Prime minister and head of Qatar's Investment Authority - their sovereign wealth fund from oil and gas revenues - but then he got sidelined when his brother and father of the current Emir abdicated.

Imagine you find out that there's a person who hates you but they've never even met you. They don't even know your name but they will put you in prison because of this hatred they have for you. They wouldn't care if you were beaten black and blue.
Now this guy might not even think any of this, but the people he work for do. It's not a secret locked in a box that they can claim they don't know about. They've had to comment on it as recently as last month. Even if this person doesn't think like this, we'd never know because they won't even mention it. It's not a subject that they even give a passing thought to. For you it's important, for them it's just an obstacle.
For many people, that's the person who is going to buy the club. It's understandable if people want to forget this club exists because of it.

If he starts getting exclusive access then it wont matter. People follow Simon Stone because he gets fed news directly from the club. You can argue any sports journalism is basically that. You dont have good sources if you dont have good relationship with the club
