Champions League 2022/23 - Matchday 3 - 4/5 October

Barcelona have mortgaged their future for this draw. Absolute madness. They’re aren’t getting out of it
 
Rangers at home can take points from any of those guys
 
I can't believe that Spurs are through to the second round of the Champions League! Lucky bastards.
 
A- Ajax, liverpool,Napoli,Rangers
B- Porto, Atletico Madrid,Leverkusen,Brugge
C- Bayern, Barcelona,Inter,Victoria plzen
D- Frankfurt,Tottenham,Sporting,Marseile


E- AC milan, Chelsea,Salzburg,D.zagreb
F- Real, Leipzig,Shaktar,Celtic
G- Mancity, Sevilla,Dortmund,Copenhagen
H- PSG,Juventus,Benfica,Maccabi

Based on what? They are favorites for sure but all of those team away from home are very hard games. That group is going to be tough.

Celtic got their dream opponents as they were desperate to draw Real Madrid and are in a group that’s achievable to qualify from. They will be over the moon with that draw.

Rangers got the tougher one out of the two but I’m sure they are just delighted to be back into the group stages after a very lengthy absence.

It just simply isn't. If I asked which one was the pot 4 team, with the exception of Spurs, most wouldn't have a clue.
 
Group A - Finally the vermin get a group they can't sleepwalk through.
Group B - Whatever.
Group C - Barcelona sold their future to get knocked out in the group stage!
Group D - Good group actually. I wouldn't count on Tottenham getting out.

Group E - Milan vs Chelsea will be cool to see.
Group F - Real Madrid already at RO16.
Group D - City already already at RO16.
Group H - That has to be hard to bottle even for PSG. Juve are irrelevant.

That’s just being ignorant though isn’t it?

Sporting had a much harder group last season and went to the R16.

Spurs (although favorites to win the group) aren’t exactly a shark in the CL nor do they have the pedigree to give themselves 3 points away from home before the match is played.

Sporting and Frankfurt are favorited for second place but OM away is not easy.

If you think Spurs will walk this group or win every game 5-0 you are highly mistaken. They will struggle in Portugal Germany and maybe France.

If Sporting kept Nunes and Palhinha I would even say we would have a chance for first:
 
Pretty content with this draw. Not sure what to expect from Salzburg. Excited to face Milan again after so long.

Middley draw for the Dippers. Tough enough 3rd and 4th seeds but could have gotten a worse top seed.

Spurs probably should get out of their group but they will absolutely find a way to feck up

Context in fairness.

If Sporting were in Copenhagen group I would probably say the same and advise Sporting to lube up before each game.

I agree on most of your points. It is a even group.
 
Group D seems tight. Sporting, Frankfurt, and Marseille seems to be on around the same level.
 
Real play Shakhtar every season it seems. And well done Don Carlo!
 
Barcelona Bayern group is the only interesting group. You can predict the qualifying teams in all other groups now.

Maybe a hot take but I think Benfica will finish ahead of Juve.

Juve don’t look that good and Benfica have been on fire this season and reinforced the team well with a lot of talent.
 
Considering their frantic lever pulling it is a given that Barca need and expect to make it out of the group stages so they won't be thrilled to be in with Inter and Bayern.
