Champions League Quarter Finals (5th - 13th Apr)

The one thing Chelsea lack, compared to City and Liverpool, is an attacker or two that can stretch play by dribbling a man. KDB and Foden do it often for City, and of course Pool have quite a few attackers that do that. But Chelsea for all their possession, it's been too static and in front of Real. Werner at least with his runs is helping to stretch play a little but he's not getting the passes for it.

Have Real Madrid even left their half in this second period?

Chelsea are toying with them. Equaliser for Chelsea.

So either Chelsea get their third CL title equalling us, City get their first or Liverpool get their 7th.

Real Madrid have been properly fecked there since it was not a corner kick. Even so, it was definitely coming.

You could argue Chelsea should have had a penalty. Casemiro fouled Havertz to stop him challenging Courtois for the ball. You win some, you lose some.

It feels strange watching a coach react to where they were weak last week, and make tactical adjustments to be better this.

All this talk from commentators about Chelsea being excellent is hard to swallow. It feels like these pundits haven't seen a "dominant" performance in their lives.

Chelsea have been relatively poor given Real is allowing them to attack. They haven't really created anything to warrant the praise.

meh who cares? We were the dominant team last season. So on the basis of 3 and a half games in 2 seasons we are better than them.

First goal via standard situation vs Real this year apparently.

Madrid might well still go through here but this further highlights the swing in power to the Premier league tonight. Its criminal with the money involved in our league we should be so bad.

All four English clubs should be strong enough to win it this season.

shit call by the ref....modric never touched that to give chelsea the corner that led to the goal
