It's funny seeing English fans getting angry about foreigners supporting English clubs.
Nope, not at all weird.
I have a connection to my local club and the area that it's based (regardless of who owns the club, which changes all the time). But for me to decide "I've never been to Italy, but I'm going to start supporting Juventus because they seem to win stuff" is a little odd.
I teach 6 year olds for a living, and it reminds me of the few children I teach each year that have a meltdown every time they lose something. It's that kind of mentality - choose a team that wins most of the time, so you don't have to deal with disappointment.
Luckily as a Leicester and England fan, I'm used to disappointment

You can take a browse of the threads and back and forth made over the last 2 weeks if you want but what I saw was arrogance, among many other things. More banter and piss taking sure...some of it though was taken to another level, more than the usual banter from a home nation trying to back themselves and get behind the boys. If you don't see that, that's on you, but I know I'm not the only one who felt it all this time. Hence the many threads popping up clearly in response to it.
I was dreading the threads @horsechoker promised to make if England won for example, and I would have had to find a way to laugh and take it, but this is even better that that will not happen. All fun in the end, sure, but us laughing is no different to the piss taking and banter that existed up to now. If you dish it out, expect to get it back, naturally.
Imagine English supporters of Bayern football club celebrating Germany losing a final in their fan forum, it would just never happen for so many reasons.. People around the world will be using this forum and this thread as a joke.
