So is this the worst thread on the Caf ever?
This transfer perfectly exemplifies Ed Woodward’s incompetence.
Our interest has been no secret. Dortmund made their price known. Ed knew our limit and that it was significantly below the asking price, yet he pushed on the entire summer with no backup plan other than expecting Dortmund to cave.

Now he’s spent well over double the difference between our price and Dortmund’s on two young, unproven wingers. I hate that man with the fire of 1,000 suns.

Having still 2 years left on his contract should allow them to still command a 120m euro fee. It’s only when a player gets down to one year left that a discount can be entertained.
Right now, I feel his value has more chance of increasing than decreasing. He’s shown progression every year in the 3 years he’s been there. I truly expect him to go another level this year and expect a few suitors at the end of the season coming in for him.
Woodward’s credibility at the top tier of European football is in tatters.

yeah a few days ago the united stand had a German guy on and he pretty much said its an ego clash. Weve been completley owned by Dortmund, they insisted on 'middle men' doing the deal as couldnt be bothered dealing with us direct. And its likely why Evra is being so public about how the club is run
