Unless Erikssen and Levy change their minds about Erikssen joining us in January - highly unlikely though as Erikssen will probably wait to see his contract out in Summer. Then he can negotiate a bumper contract.

You can say what you want, but his style gets results and is pleasing to watch, much better than what we've had.
I think as @dev1l said, we'll be looking to get a striker in. Mandzukic may not be the type of signing most want, but it provides us with a different option, and you'd think he'd be happier to be a rotational player, in comparison to Lukaku, who felt he should be starting every game.
Think maybe a midfielder, too. Been linked with Can and Normann. Maybe those as a stop gap. Not sure how those will help in terms of creativity, though.

Since Rodgers took over (including last season) in 21 game you picked 1.9 pts per game on average. That's on course for 72 points which would give you a very realistic chance, especially if top teams continue to struggle.
Btw. you're even averaging slightly more points per game this season comparing to the end of last one, so that's also a good indicator going forward.

No one denies his history as a great manager, but at that point despite the PL win it was clear he wasn't the same manager of Chelsea mark one and Inter Milan.
Just from watching Italy at the Euro's you could tell Conte was the better manager (speaking for at that time, not all time) and it showed when they went head to head.

Never got the sneering attitude towards Rodgers as a manager. As a person and a "character" he's a complete caricature, and comes out with some ridiculous stuff; to be blunt about it, he's a bit of a dick. That's probably what lets him down and what skews people's perspective on him as a manager. Personally i think he's a really good one.
He has a way of playing and he seems to be able to implement it. I think nearly everyone on this forum would love for us to play in that style. It's good and exciting to watch and he has the ability to make player believe in it and adapt to that way of playing. Isn't that what good coaching is all about?

Unless he gets the Bayern job, he's better off at Leicester. I don't think a club like Dortmund is more attractive.
I don't know if Normann will or won't settle in considering his Brighton experience. Nor do I know whether we re really interested or not.
But he looks to be a creative midfielder, at least from YouTube clips. He has some similarities with Bruno Fernandes in my humble opinion. Long range passes, through balls etc.

They gave him the job after 10 or 11 straight wins. The greatest start by any manager in the prem, caretaker or not. That’s just unlucky for United, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Everyone was pleased at the time.
True, but we are dithering as usual in changing what's not working. We waited far too long with Mourinho and we lost all realistic hope for top 4. What are we waiting for this season? Getting embroiled in a relegation battle?
A new manager won’t change that overnight. I think he’s been a bit unlucky with injuries and that’s thrown his plan out of the window. He got rid of the dead wood but didn’t replace Lukaku as he wanted Rashford to step up which he hasn’t done. He’s had to rely heavily on youth which has had pluses and minuses. One thing that can’t be argued is that his signings have been first class.
Considering our lack of a style of play and attacking plan, I am not sure Ole is going to do much better with better players. We are not doing even the basics right in a game, the kind of basics that does not require world class players.

Williams in his prime was excellent. The most underrated CB in the prem at the time. He could have easily played for a top 4 club and it’s a shame for him that he moved so late in his career. The idea of someone calling Williams shit proves they never really watched him. He carried the Swansea Defense for years. Sakho is a great defender on his day but there’s no doubt in my mind that Williams would have had the better time at Pool than Sakho did. Allen (who’s a decent little player) was the wrong choice, if they were going to get a Swansea player then it should have been Williams any day.
Yeah, well said basically. Williams was outstanding over the years for Swansea and he played next to some real dross. He’s done it at international level too. He just moved on a little late and now people have the wrong perception completely.

There is nothing to see at all. He is taking us nowhere. That he talks a good talk is not enough. No solid manager needs forever to do something as basic as implement a playing style for starters.
Ok most wEre pleased. Certainly on here anyway. Ask any of them now and nearly all will say I wanted to wait till the end of the season. Either way, I don’t want Brendan Bloody Rodgers.
Plenty were doubtful, many of those wins were lucky if not miraculous. The quality of football decreased from the first few games to the last few ones of that winning run.
Besides if some fans wanted him, if some pundits/ex pro wanted him too, it shouldn't matter, more often than not they make decisions and views based on feelings.
