My thoughts too. Is that how desperate we’ve become? Please god don't let this happen.

I think we ll get someone like Mandzuikic and maybe another low profile signing and a couple of kids will go on loan.Do you not think we'll buy a couple of players in January?
Do you not think we'll buy a couple of players in January?
Not really. Are you confident that we will?
I think as @dev1l said, we'll be looking to get a striker in. Mandzukic may not be the type of signing most want, but it provides us with a different option, and you'd think he'd be happier to be a rotational player, in comparison to Lukaku, who felt he should be starting every game.
Think maybe a midfielder, too. Been linked with Can and Normann. Maybe those as a stop gap. Not sure how those will help in terms of creativity, though.
People call Heinze a prick because he wanted to move to Pool but now are hoping for an ex-scouse manager to take over whose favourite buzzword seems to be 'mentality'. Rodgers is the current flavour of the month/season, don't think United would be so much better off longterm with him.
By the look of it and how this season is shaping up, I think that we have a fair shot at the top 6, maybe top 4. Not carried away though, it's a hard job to be in the top and the big fish won't be in a slump for very long. We'll see how far we can go under Rodgers.
No one denies his history as a great manager, but at that point despite the PL win it was clear he wasn't the same manager of Chelsea mark one and Inter Milan.I'm not even gonna debate this. 'comfortably' is a ridiculous way of putting it. There's no way he was 'comfortably' better than Jose. Jose won the PL the season before the one he got the sack and his CV talked for him.
Future Man City boss whenever Pep gets tired of it.
Kolo Toure is the defence coach and there is a feeling at Leicester that he is the reason the defence is doing well. His biggest failing in the PL has always been sorting out the defense in his teams.
Seems to be going well for him so far this season.
We already have a squad full of gimps, now people are suggesting putting a complete and utter helmet scraping like him in charge ?!?My thoughts too. Is that how desperate we’ve become?
Some of the arrogant posts in this thread are hilarious in hindsight.
He's a very good manager, personally I think we need an elite manager, but he's miles better than Ole.
I can see him going abroad.
We already have a squad full of gimps
I don't know if Normann will or won't settle in considering his Brighton experience. Nor do I know whether we re really interested or not.I think as @dev1l said, we'll be looking to get a striker in. Would you think bringing someone in on loan would be better for us, If we could do it of course.I think as @dev1l said, we'll be looking to get a striker in. They gave him the job after 10 or 11 straight wins. The greatest start by any manager in the prem, caretaker or not. That’s just unlucky for United, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Everyone was pleased at the time.We employed ole.
True, but we are dithering as usual in changing what's not working. We waited far too long with Mourinho and we lost all realistic hope for top 4. What are we waiting for this season? Getting embroiled in a relegation battle? They gave him the job after 10 or 11 straight wins. The greatest start by any manager in the prem, caretaker or not. A new manager won’t change that overnight. I think he’s been a bit unlucky with injuries and that’s thrown his plan out of the window. He got rid of the dead wood but didn’t replace Lukaku as he wanted Rashford to step up which he hasn’t done. He’s had to rely heavily on youth which has had pluses and minuses. One thing that can’t be argued is that his signings have been first class.True, but we are dithering as usual in changing what's not working. Considering our lack of a style of play and attacking plan, I am not sure Ole is going to do much better with better players. We are not doing even the basics right in a game, the kind of basics that does not require world class players.A new manager won’t change that overnight. Sakho was highly rated at PSG. But my point is different- all of them are shit .
Where did you get 35+from? He was bought for 17 and buying him over Williams was the correct decision as at his best he’s a far superior defender and the only reason he was jettisoned from Liverpool was disciplinary issues. Him and Lovren were exceptional in our Europa league run and most Liverpool fans at the time wanted him partnered with Matip.
Moreno was highly rated before he joined Liverpool too and whilst Bertrand would have been a better option it’s fair to say our scouting department was much less refined back then. Sakho has his weaknesses and can never seem to stay injury free but he’s a top defender. Worth remembering he mainly played in the Rodgers era where there was never a single defender capable of playing competently in a back four and he was the best of a very bad bunch.
no actually Williams when at Swansea and when he first joined Everton was anything but Shit, Bertrand back then was a very good left back both would have been good signings and upgrades over what they had at the time, there are plenty of signings Rodgers made to pick out, wanting to sign those player back then aren't a part of it

I'm still behind Ole as he needs more time to see if he can take us forward, but Brendan wouldn't be a bad option in the future. I dislike him...but maybe that's because he was at Liverpool!
Ok most wEre pleased. Certainly on here anyway. Ask any of them now and nearly all will say I wanted to wait till the end of the season. Either way, I don’t want Brendan Bloody Rodgers. No they weren't. Plenty wanted to wait until the end of the season.
Plenty were doubtful, many of those wins were lucky if not miraculous. The quality of football decreased from the first few games to the last few ones of that winning run. They gave him the job after 10 or 11 straight wins. Besides if some fans wanted him, if some pundits/ex pro wanted him too, it shouldn't matter, more often than not they make decisions and views based on feelings.
The smart decision would have been to w assess things at the end of the season
That's not hindsight if people kept saying the same thing before he was made permanent. You wish it to beAs I said earlier hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Craig Burley, one of the biggest United haters ever also said it that we needed to be cautiousA lot of people were saying this at the time from what I remember.
