Don't even need to look that far. Greenwood is better than Rashford.

Market value? Please which stupid club, besides us, will pay Rashford 200K?Its neither. Its reality. Rashford is going to get 200k because it his market value. Its what he is going to get somewhere else if not at United. If anyone thinks that United is going to fight the inflation of the transfer and wage market ourselves, please keep on being delusional and not being competative going forward.
I don’t understand why a lot of our fans don’t rate Rashford. I m glad he signed on and will most likely be our main striker for next season. Our best performance came with him leading the line with a dynamic front 3. He has the qualities to be a 20+ goals a season striker and I m looking forward to him proving a lot of fans on here wrong.
I rate him, I just don’t rate him as a 200k pw player at this point of his career.I don’t understand why a lot of our fans don’t rate Rashford. Of course it's before tax.Is that before or after tax? I feel the sensationalist journos hand at work here. If its before then he'll be getting 117k after each week.
Well, eh, yes. Exactly. Which is why its way more than daft to state that he is better than Rashford today.Your comment is equally as daft, Greenwood’s 17 as if he was ever going to make the U21 squad when his competition is players with actual senior experience.
I’m not agreeing with the original poster but you made it sound like it was a bad thing that Greenwood missed out.Well, eh, yes. Exactly. Which is why its way more than daft to state that he is better than Rashford today.
If he cant make the U21s because of the competition, how the feck is he going to take Rashfords place in the United squad?
How many goals should we expect from Rashford next season barring any significant injuries?
10 or 15 goals at most. That's about the best he could do, unless he suddenly up a gear become more consistent
Sell him to Barca if he wants 200k/wk. it’s a bad practice for the club to reward player after that awful season he had.
If his 300 after bonuses is parity with pogba then pogba must be on about 200k basic too. Makes his demand for a new contract seem pretty reasonable
If he's main striker from start to finish then I think it's fair to expect 20 goals. How many goals should we expect from Rashford next season barring any significant injuries?
Isn't Pogba's £140k flat? That's what the contract leak said, the rest of his bonuses and add-ons take it to £290k.Pogba’s flat rate is £290k per week.
Rashford will get similar if he achieves all his performance related bonuses and if United also perform on the pitch, which I assume means by winning games/trophies.
‘The contract is understood to be heavily incentivised but if Rashford meets all of his performance-related targets and if United deliver on the pitch, it could be worth in excess of £300,000 a week.’
so just an apple and pear comparison to get some hypePogba’s flat rate is £290k per week.

makes me think it is about 150k a week and if we win the quad and he gets team of the season and golden boot he gets 300

This is precisely why I hate fishing headlines like this. He does write 'potentially', but most readers will look at the £300k figure and assume his salary is very close to £300k and bonuses are just a small fraction of it.
Rashford will have been given a contract thats according to marketvalue, not the extreme overpricing the headline indicates. His base salary is completely fine. His potential salary is also completely fine given that the incentives are no doubt about rashford scoring goals, and game winning goals.
Do you have the breakdown of his salary?
Greenwood is potential, and that's it for now. No way he could step into Rashford's boots. We can argue all day about the amount Rashford's getting paid but Greenwood is far from being a ready-made replacement.
I don't. But comparable contracts will most certainly involve something like: £xk pr game started that the team wins. - a typical forward incentive. | CL Qualification bonus | Goals scored in winning game | Loyalty Bonus | Image rights | Bonus for <x> goals on the season | etc.
There are many variables that the club can play with to make up a realistic achievable salary package for the player. Alexis Sanchez is paid £75k every game he starts, and £2 million if he reaches 40 goals and assists total on a season, to name one example.
An educated guess puts Rashfords base salary around £170-180k a week before image rights and everything is piled on top. Manchester United has the biggest wage bill in the Premier League, and is run by people who do care about the clubs bottom line, so considering we are not in the CL this season, I don't think the club went full "Take all the money" on Rashford.
Just when we thought Ole will somehow take things back on track, United succumb to player power once again, and that too to an average player at best, who is not worth more than150k per week. He won't get these ludicrous amount anywhere else in the EPL. Somebody please enlighten me how much Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling make? Two of the very best english players in premier league?
I found this article that is quoting the famous Football Leaks reports about wages in the Premier League. I believe they are too well-detailed to be speculation so have a read and decide for yourself.Just when we thought Ole will somehow take things back on track, United succumb to player power once again, and that too to an average player at best, who is not worth more than150k per week.
