Mateo Mejia - What A Player

Broke in the In the reserve forum last night, probably not going to be a first teamer for a while.

I haven't see images of that guy on multiplies news, he's just mystery.

They're citing Alan Nixon of The Sun as the original source.

Nixon might be right, but he reported something similar last year of us signing a 15 year old Spaniard that never came to fruition. I would be wary of believing Nixon.

As the Americans found out to their cost in the early 1970s.

Know nothing about him, but I'm really pleased to see this type of signing in addition to whatever first team transfers we make.

I never said he did tbh. Nixon himself was very confident of the deal happening if his tweets and replies are anything to go on. But the outlet you linked is citing the original story from The Sun and doesn't provide any new info, which was my original point.
Well you said "he reported similar last year of us signing a 15 year old Spaniard that never came to fruition" & in the other thread you said "Nixon reported last year that we'd signed a 15 year old from from a La Liga team that never actually signed" which is why I put a link to the article showing he didn't actually say we had signed him. The information about him joining us is actually up on a Zaragoza forum from a couple of weeks ago & the lad has started following a couple of our youth players on Instagram recently so I'd say it probably is true. The article I posted may have mentioned the sun but had more information about the player & the clubs interested in him which is why I posted it.

Well this is reported in several spanish newspapers so it looks correct - but I have never heard of the guy.

It probably is true, but regarding Soriano from Atletico, Nixon was asked by United fans via twitter on how confident he was about a potential deal.. And if i'm not mistaken, he responded by saying "very" at the time.

I hope he's correct though. Because I do follow our youth and signing top class talent is always exciting.

Incompetence beyond comprehension.
I'd say it's more a case that we'll just pay the training compensation fee which is about a quarter of the reported fee rather than negotiating with Zaragoza so it's basically the opposite of incompetence

The word gets thrown around every 5 minutes on here so better get used to it.

FYI no agreement has been reached, according to a clarification issued by Real.

I guess we are having more two spanish persons doing virtual jobs at England if this transfer confirms.

He's under 18 y.o., and if my memory is correct under FIFA rules, at least on e of the parents must be living and working at UK / Manchester.

Not everybody's parents get offered a job as part of it though. They have the right to move here and look for work (at least for now). It depends what skills they have and how much we're paying the kid.

After brexit they get ducked out and he goes home crying

First James and now this guy, both counting in the 4-5 transfers!?
