Real Madrid 2017/18

What’s happening with Isco?
Going through a period of bad form probably. But i'm not so sure he has a place in the team anymore at this point, especially if Zidane were to stay

Given the ages of all 3 you'd think they'd rotate. But Benzema is known for needing to be cuddled otherwise he gets depressed and doesn't perform...
Yes,you are right. It would be difficult with 30years to come back to the bench,as with Higuaín but I don't know if he would accept the first random destination in case the club receive an offer

For Madrid supporters: how difficult is it to get a season ticket to San Bernabeu, and how expensive is it?
Oh,a new madridista! :).It's a bit complicate because if I understood well,to be "abonado"(season ticket) you need to be "socio" first, and you would need a relative, also socio. However I think the club offers an amount of annual tickets for those who are not socios.
This is the email for information : oas@corp.realmadrid.com and these the prices for the season https://www.realmadrid.com/socios/cuotas-abonos

Cheers, will look into this!

I'm moving to Madrid in June and I thought it could be a good idea. Prices don't seem excessive, so why not...

And do you know whether it's difficult to get tickets on a standalone basis, like for random games? I suppose it depends on the adversary mainly, though.

In that way It won't be difficult.Bernabeu is not usually full, except el clásico and the derby.

He's available you say
Isco and Bale are the 2 main candidates to be sold.
At first I thought it was the club leaking to the press like some kind of scolding or warning to provoke a change but over the weeks it seems that it is becoming more serious.

Like every Monday, Inda and his gossips

Madrid already have a coach for next season. Whatever happens ... Zinedine Zidane

Bale has an offer from PSG and Chelsea but only wants to go to United

Casemiro has an offer from PSG. They offer 80 m€ and it´s an absolute priority

Bale´s substitute? in club planning there is a name: Marco Asensio (wasn´t Inda who said this)

Casemiro? No way we are selling him right?

The moment Chiringuito requires his guests to back up their claims with actual sources he's out of business.

Are PSG trying to make a Brazilian XI?

No, they're simply looking to replace Thiago Motta and he's a CDM like Casemiro and that probably was enough to create this 'rumour'. Great acting though saying all that made up stuff with a straight face ... 'prioridad absoluta', yeah sure they told you.

I think if Zidane stays no way Benzema will leave.

Mourinho, Ancelotti and Bentiez have all prefered Benzema as a starter before Zidane.

I doubt his future will be tied depending on whenever the Frenchman stays or leave the club.

There's definitely some nepotism going on there so I agree with you.

Please, elaborate the 'nepotism theory' for Zidane starting with Benzema who makes most assists out of all Madrid players while still being a vital player in their attacking play?

Based on what, or is that just your imaginations?

his age is the only handicap, although we could get at least 3 very good years.
As you say the relationships are very good and seeing the price of James (quite affordable), and the common crusade against the price bubble I can imagine they could reach an agreement at a reasonable price
I just don’t see Lewy leaving Bayern. I mean, if they get Werner and Real gives them Isco and €80m then maybe.

I love the valuation of players in this forum :lol:I think for Bayern it is a good business. They enjoy the best years of the player, sell him for no less than 90 million and use the money to buy Werner (although we could also buy Werner).
For Madrid, my doubts are about Cris and Lewandowski together in the pitch

I was obviously not being serious. As long as Ronaldo plays you need a striker which is comfortable with not being the main man. Benzema fits that bill but not Lewy. Or you move Ronaldo to the middle and flank him with wingers.

Re. Werner: At the moment Lewy is clearly better than him and Bayern don‘t need money. So selling Lewy for 100 and paying 60 for Werner does not help them too much.

I know you were joking :D.
Lewandowski is a great striker and he would do great but I was more excited years ago, when he destroyed us.
Now perhaps some fans and press think that the train has already passed.
Let's see in the world cup, looking forward to seeing both,Werner and Lewy

I'll admit I've barely watched Real play for a few years, but from what I've been hearing and reading his form has dropped dramatically over the last year or two. Pointing out what was happening four or more years ago doesn't really mean anything today.

Nah, he's always been inconsistent

Problem is this season he's taken it to an unacceptable level

In the last 8 Champions League knockout games, in 5 games have Real Madrid’s opponent had a man sent off.

Kroos is the best midfielder of this generation since Xavi. He will be an all time great

Sorry no, kroos lift WC and plays amazing in National team
So Kroos is better because he plays for Germany while Modric is Croatian... makes sense.

Modric has arguably been one of the Madrid's top 3 players in terms of importance over the past 5 years in every big game, alongside Ronaldo and Marcelo. Can throw Ramos in there too. Club level always wins over performances at national team level. Just how it is.

Teams just can't deal with us without losing their minds :D (all were correct, only asterisk the vidal one, due to the circumstances)

Well judging by your red card record against us in recent times, Real can’t deal with Barca either without losing their minds. :D

Dybala’s red today was very soft

How so? He dived for the first yellow. Then he dived again and was lucky the ref saw a foul on him. Than he kicked carvajal in the chest for the second yellow

They've won the same amount of CL's in the last 4 years as we have in our history. How depressing.

Modric vs Kroos. At their best i'd take Luka but it's veeeeeeeery close

I'm still not completely convinced they work well together. Think either would be better with a faster, more dynamic partner. Pogba would have been unreal for us :(

Zinedine Zidane has won for the 100th time in all competitions as Real Madrid head coach. Tonight’s game against Juventus was his 137th time in charge

Just a shame that not many people are giving credit for what an incredible coach Zidane actually is.

Sure, he might not be the greatest tactican ever or something. But there's no doubt that he's the perfect fit for Madrid in the UCL.

Don't think anyone could could do it better.

Benzema scored nearly 20 goals in all comps last season and is currently the player who made most assists while still being a heavy contributor for Madrid's general play. Never mind that he has had several great/good individual performances for them. I'd rather say the criticism towards him is way too overblown. Benzema's goalscoring produciton is low, but it's hardly a problem when Cristiano is with the team and one of the main taks for Benzema is to give him support. Which the Frenchman does an excellent job at imho.

Nah, he's always been inconsistent

That's just an exaggerating about Benzema being "always inconsistent", although I don't deny that he has been up and down like any other footballer not named Messi or Cristiano...

Pep's Barca were lauded as the best club side ever, surely about time this Madrid side was spoken about similarly?

They exert basically unmatched domination against Europe's elite ... if this is not working well, then what does 'work well' even mean. Agree on Pogba.

Not true. Not good enough for you.

They are not good enough domestically.

If we win the Copa del Rey final, we (Barca) will have won 7 of the last 8 domestic trophies since 2014/15.
