Patrice Evra Hates Thursdays | West Ham on a free?

Wish he didn't choose WH, but probably he doesn't want to retire and there isn't much to choose from.

Won't tarnish his legacy, though.

Just happy to see his big smiling karate kicking face again

Well he's gone on to fight a Chelsea steward before, then kicked a fan..

Maybe he'll one up himself and drop kick the manager next!!

Good luck to him, one of the best LBs world football has ever seen.

Loved him during his time at OT, dropped off a bit his last season or two but then had a bit of an Indian Summer at Juventus.
Is he signing for a West Ham as a player or kickboxing/karate coach though....

No doubt he was Man Utd through and through but coming back to PL after stints in Italy and France, i doubt he will have any big impact.

He is 36 and will be 37 by the end of this season. Not sure what West Ham expect from him. Don't they have Creswell and masuaku who are decent LBs.

Masuaku might not have much of a future at West Ham, if any, after the spitting incident, I think Moyes described him as "despicable" after it, so even after his suspension he might not be in the picture, maybe this is even why Moyes is signing Evra, as cover for Cresswell.

Doubt they will bin player because of one silly incident.

Hmmm, be weird to see him play for someone else in PL, but good luck to him. Except when playing agains us, of course. Agent Pat to score winning goals against City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs will do nicely.

Poor form Evra, very poor. You don’t return to play against Man Utd in the same league, it will tarnish his reputation. Seeing him struggle in such a poor team will only look bad.

It's not a Heinze like situation. Evra clearly still loves United. I'm not going to begrudge him getting those Premier League wages for a season or two at the end of his career. Power to the lad, he'd get a rapturous applause at Old Trafford deservedly so.

I bet he will do his best to try to score against them , he is a true Manchester United fan. Maybe karate kick Pep , you never know.

I thought he was banned for 2 years?

Only from UEFA competitions, and that I believe is only up until the end of the season, and as such is a problem that will not be of a concern or interest to West Ham!

Bacon sandwich-gate gets funnier, didn't know this (from an MEN article at the time)...

"On the flight the mischievous defender is rumoured to have made a passenger announcement, explaining that there had been a change to the in-flight menu and that it would be bacon sandwiches all round."

Oh shut up you absolute clown. Evra is a true United legend, he loved the club and still bleeds red. He's entitled to return to the prem to earn some money before he retires.

Good choice from Evra considering his age and trouble - Will play a wing-back where he can shine again

Looking forward to seeing the reception he gets at OT! For about 4 years he was just a beacon of crazy consistency giving you 7 out of 10 performances all the time.
