imagine him doing this in a derby match:

just going through some of his highlights. I'm hyped, almost as hyped as the commentator in that video.

For those whinging about 600... Perhaps this thread would be at 1,000 by now if many of us didn't have to put up with a vomit-inducing tagline every time we posted.

Cruel and unusual punishment.
What's wrong with the "Full member"?

That must be the best commentary of a goal I've ever heard, especially from the second (?) commentator in the background

More than likely be today. Probs waiting for Arsenal to wrap up their deal so both parties can make their announcement in quick succession.

What are the Arsenal fans saying? Are they happy about it? Or are they calling for Arsene's dismissal (again)?
They went through the five stages of grief.

At first they dismissed our interest and thought city would still come in and match our offer. Then when it became clear they were once again selling their best player to us they were livid. Now a week later we're finally on to acceptance, and they've even convinced themselves they're better off without him and Mkhitaryan will be much better, it was just Mourinho who ruined him.

Announcement at 1 PM. They want to create the maximum buzz and with eastern US waking up just about then , that'd be the perfect time to announce it

I think you are looking too much into it. I'm sure we'll announce when all details are sorted on both sides. We announced Pogba (world record transfer fee at the time) at about 0030hrs, no? I genuinely don't think we give on iota on the time we announce.

There'll still be fans who think the announcement has to coincide with the opening of the NYSE, despite the fact none of our other announcements have been synced with this at all.

Amusing really. I know a bunch of Gooners and there are broadly two camps:
1. Those that have given up completely. They've taken this one with an air of resignation almost. Their only bitterness is selling to us and not City as they feel City is so far ahead it wouldn't matter, but that Sanchez will add a bunch to us and increase the gap to them.
2. The ones that are in the "Arsene knows" camp. These are the ones that are talking about how this is a great deal for them and how Auba+Mkhi > Sanchez (they're clueless about who else drops out of the team to make way for these 2 of course) and how United will repent playing Sanchez on the right. Amusingly, a bunch of these twats don't even know that Sanchez has played more games on the right than the left!

Most aren't talking about Arsene out though - they've gone through the stages and reached the point where they're so inured to it all that they take it as a given that Arsene will stay, no matter what.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Just wanna say, in case this happens while I'm asleep and this thread gets locked...

This has been the best transfer thread of all time - a genuine World Class player saga, with Utd getting an outrageous deal done from under the noses of City.

José is a legend for this, as is Woodward.

A surreal, coming of age road movie of a transfer thread.

We deserve it, Sanchez deserves it.

Now lets go and win the fecking CL.

It’s not guaranteed to be today. Didn’t Ornstein say today or tomorrow due to work permits?

It's gonna be today afternoon. We can announce deals subject to work permit so it's not a biggie.

We've been very lucky with him and Pogba. Two genuine world class international stars in their pomp.. likes of which we rarely signed under Fergie apart from Veron

There's been so few upsets this season in the CL, I just can't see us having enough this year to win it. Looking at the last 16 fixtures you would expect all the big sides to progress, aside from one of Real/PSG. And that's assuming we get past Sevilla over two legs.

Semi-finals would be awesome and I'd hope Sanchez would provide us with enough of a filip to achieve that.

Perhaps we are waiting to hear from Arsenal regarding progress on Mkhitaryan's deal with them
It's done. Arsenal wouldn't allow Sanchez to have medicals etc without everything else is being sorted first.
