Wait people don't remember Gallas crying on the pitch after dropping two points against Birmingham?

FFS.

Mkhi will face a backclash like no one else if this falls through due to him.
And rightly so. Him and Raiola seem like they are not in a rush at all, and also they are in a strong position. But what if Mkhitaryan's move stalled? Does it mean we are not getting Alexis!

I'm hopeful this'll get wrapped up later tonight. A nice little nightcap to top today off please.

It was ten years ago. Some younger fans might have started following football and United later.

Or dunno, people are basically goldfish anyway.

The statement of an agreement must be happen today so the medical can happen tomorrow morning. If we don't hear anything from the club then he won't be included for Saturday. Infact he'll start for Arsenal in their game v Palace as Wenger already said.
Definitely don’t think he’ll play for Arsenal again.

Just noticed that 5 of our next 6 games are away from home (we play home against Huddersfield on Feb 3rd, after away to Burnley, Yeovil and Spurs). Shame we won't see much of him at OT until late february :(

As everyone always says: 'It'll give him time to bed in'.

Whatever that means.

What? The pic of him almost crying after the 2-2 match away at Birmingham (where Eduardo broke his leg) is legendary.

It's all coming back to me now.

Anyway, don't wanna derail this thread any further. Erm.... oh, Who here reckons he's gonna play for us saturday?

Checking myself in for another sanchezless day. What is this world? what is the meaning of life and when will we sign sanchez?

No, there have been plenty of reports the last couple of days that have said that the deal will go through for cash if the Miki swap doesn't work out.

The only thing about the Alexis deal being solely dependent on Miki comes from Raiola, who has ever reason in the world to play up that angle, as it gives him/Miki power, makes them seem like important players in this, etc.

It doesn't matter now. We need the announcement first. As long as it's not official then there's a possibility even if it's slim but we may end not getting him.

What is Sanchez' record like in away games?

I'm sure that if Alexis joins us we are much stronger but i hope we don't think we've reached the pinnacle of a top top team!

Still things to be fixed in our squad.

He solves so much though, it is seldom you can get a ready made WC attacker like him, especially at the price we are getting him.

Makes us able to go proper big in midfield during the summer window, since attack will be sorted for a while.

A central midfielder and perhaps a left back and we are an elite team.

This transfer is great fun on every level.

Out of nowhere we are putting City, Chelsea and Arsenal’s noses out of joint, jettisoning a player who hasn’t cut it and, more importantly, making ourselves potentially deadly upfront.

Who says January has to be miserable.

lol, I can see it now Wenger talking to Sanchez and his agent. "oh look, the transfer window is nearly shut, no time to do any deals. Shame, don't understand why this keeps happening. Contract extension anyone?"
They went in for Lemar with only a few days left in the window. There is still 12+ days left. No chance this gets dragged out till then.

This really has dragged on for a bit. Swap deals always are really complicated to sort out. Hence, why they rarely ever happen.

I guess it was only a matter of time before people got impatient and it came back to this.
