Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

nah, one of Martial and Rashord will still start. as you say, Jose likes them both on the left, so it would hinder his ability to rotate both of them by not starting either. Martial deserves to start over Mata.
I feel it will boil down to where Sanchez is strongest. The team is going to be built around him, not Martial or Rashford. If Jose feels Sanchez contributes more on the left, Martial and Rashford will have to adapt and become better than Mata who’s been the primary RW under Jose or the inform Lingard.

If Sanchez is equally comfortable anywhere up front it’s all a moot point. Exciting times ahead though.

Apparently there is other threads on the caf, who knew!?

Can't wait for the confirmation on this.

As others have said, it could have the makings of a Cantona or RVP signing. I know 12 points is a big gap but City will be concerned to see us add Sanchez to the line-up and with us picking up some decent wins in the past few weeks they may get a bit nervous. Only takes a few draws for us to close the gap.

Alexi7 - get it done!

Has anyone calculated how many Freddos Sanchez can now afford?

I wish we were more like Bayern. They are linked with someone and within 48 hours BOOM he's holding their shirt.

No point in the journalists having all the fun.

Absolute bargain that

Can someone fill me in as somebody who hasn't kept up with the ridiculous pace of this thread - so are United paying a fee + Mkhi, a straight swap with Mkhi, what's the deal?

There is something different though about this thread than others I remember, Mata, di Maria even RVP. More sober vibe maybe? Can’t quite put a finger on it...

There is a rumour that Arsenal wanted dosh plus Mhiki.
No one knows, really

No idea why but I feel the deal is already done. Arsenal have just asked us some time so that they could finalize the Auba deal so that there isn't a huge backlash when the official announcement is made

Always wondered this myself everyone else seems to get it done quickly look at Walcott to Everton our transfers take forever

Swap deal for one of the league's best players with competition from other clubs vs flat out buying a player the selling club is happy to lose.

Man, it'll be lively at Burnley on Saturday if Sanchez is in the squad. I was at Burnley in August 2014 when we announced Di Maria remember how everyone was absolutely buzzing about it. Pity we van Gaal'd a 0-0 draw the same afternoon. :nervous:

I actually think it will be tomorrow, tbf. I don't think it's going to linger over the weekend.

I'm relaxed about it, though. It's going to happen. The official announcement would be nice to see, but there's really no need for panic.

You only think that because, I presume, you don't study their transfer activity like you do ours.
No. I've seen it umpteen times before where they come out of nowhere and get deals done quickly. Everyone here knows how ruthless they are in the transfer market. Sanchez for instance was linked with them last summer but they came out straight away and ruled it out. There are no such things as sagas with them. Either you rule it out or you get it done quickly. That's what I'd like United to see doing more of. We are getting much better now with Woodward showing ruthlessness that was missing in his first summer here.

Mkhi been training with us today :o someone get the man a chopper.
I have to admit I have been harbouring visions - sad/funny ones - of various levers being used to ply him free, as he clings to the doors of Carrington. I’m sure there’s an appropriate gif out there but can’t be arsed (is that even allowed?)

Why do people think this is going to happen tonight when there is nothing that indicates it. No reports of done deal between Raiola and Arsenal. No reports about Alexis heading to Manchester or Mkhitaryan to Arsenal.
