Will get announced tomorrow, you can all do work or go to bed. If something happens, i will create the Alexis thread

I think he'll play but as a sub. Wasn't Di Maria's debut away at Burnley? The score...0-0!
Wasn't ADM's debut vs QPR? 4-0 win with Falcao also making his debut that game

Another player sold to United. Didn't know Wenger loved you so much. Good luck to him though. His mind wasn't here anymore so it's time to say goodbye.

How about your username? At this rate you better hope Ozil signs a new contract or else you'll be left with just 87.

If he isn't registered in time for Burnley I'm not watching. I'm ignoring every game until he's at least on the bench.

It's a shame they aren't going to the World Cup but at least Sanchez will get a long rest ahead of next season.
He needs it. He hasn't had a summer off since 2013, and Chile went all the way to the finals of a major tournament the last 3 summers.

2014 World Cup - Lost in PKs Round of 16
2015 Copa America - Won Title
2016 Copa America Centenario - Won Title
2017 Confederations Cup - Lost in final.

He will have Copa America again in 2019, so I hope he enjoys the hell out of himself this summer. Much deserved.

He'll be the most rested that he's been in quite some time next season.

Starting to like the Chileans more and more, they seem to love Alexis moving to United.
It's true, we recognize United as one of the greatest teams in the world with a great history so we are glad seeing Alexis so close to signing there!

I hope the announcement takes the piss out of the narrative the journos and pundits are making out

We would like to announce that "Yes it is true that Alexis will earn 500k p/w, however 50% of that will donated to his favourite charity. Arsenal Football Club. We thank you"

Nothing being reported on Teletext yet.

Been thinking about our lineups and many feel Jose will go with Martial Lingard Sanchez behind Lukaku. Jose already shows how he likes to rotate Martial and Rashford. I’d not be surprised if we saw Sanchez Lingard Mata behind Lukaku. Mata likes to roam and I’m sure Sanchez will have the freedom to roam as well so it could make it difficult for the opposition to man mark.

Over 400 pages in 11 days. Impressive.

Reading the first page makes me laugh though :)

sill find it weird City didn't stump up what isn't really that much extra for a WC player, particularly when it directly helps us by not doing so. very happy they haven't though obv

City. Goater. Division One.

LOL.

City are a two-bob club. I genuinely can't believe the journos and ex-pros all, virtually to a man, believe Sanchez is turning down an elite club littered with football history. They are a tin-pot club who won the lottery and they'll be forever remembered as such.

I like how every single line had to fit into the exact same character space. There is no alignment stretching going on. The person who came up with the headlines had to make them all fit perfectly.

Ah lads there's gold on the comments section about this transfer on the BBC site.
I really enjoyed this one
"Sanchez is a shadow of his past skills. It's a shame but many more players like him. He will probably have a career at United like Danny Welbeck did."

nah, one of Martial and Rashord will still start. as you say, Jose likes them both on the left, so it would hinder his ability to rotate both of them by not starting either. Martial deserves to start over Mata.

The reason this has moved so quickly pages wise is because we've had news all the way along, and it is a transfer saga based on something. When as in the past, we've created the sagas out of nothing, with nothing to go off.

How come our transfer business is as long drawn out as complicated dental extractions?

confirmation bias

this has moved pretty quick really, particularly given there's two contracts to sort out at the same time

It only appears like our dealings are drawn out because we're all obsessing over them and giving them so much attention. I'm sure fans of other clubs feel the exact same way about their transfer dealings.
