I remember back when Walcott was 17.
Sven took him to the World Cup, just to soak up the atmosphere, believing that in future World Cups, he would be our main man.
That's not quite how it panned out.
That’s exactly when I lost faith with England national team

One of the most stupid things ever done by a football manager. The lad had played about 6 professional football matches, and was suddenly in the world cup squad.

"And Alexis likes to play everything even friendly matches."

That's good, because Jose likes our main players to play every single game.
As long as Sanchez can handle the physical work load, then Jose will oblige.

I honestly think Sanchez is the perfect player for Jose.

He's everything Jose wants in an attacker.

IIRC, he was coming back from an injury as well, so it didnt do him good LT career wise for that injury to not fully heal.

Is it time to start tracking all plane movement yet?
My God, I'm smiling so hard that my family is just staring at me as if I'm mentally unwell
Already tracking planes and helicopter's. Nothing so for apart from a helicopter that just landed in Chester from London. Wouldn't say that's Sanchez surely he will go straight to Manchester or Carrington?

Exactly. If one is asked to picture a perfect Jose attacker, Sanchez would come as close as anyone. Hard-worker, works for the team, never say die attitude, not very pretty but very efficient

In the second attacker role. He likes a big guy with the nippy dribbling skills type behind him. Worked so well with Hazard/Costa, Robben/Drogba

If we can add a world class CM I think this would be a strong lineup. Lingard, Mata and Rashford as squad players is pretty decent depth in attack.

This'll be a fantastic signing for two years. I'm not sure what happens after he declines, though. Do you just accept that he'll be there for four years and leave for nothing at the end? I suppose that won't be a problem if you get him for free.

Guys, I don't want to disappoint you, but today will not be the day. Maybe tomorrow. This Herrera post in instagram is probrably for the guys from NHL.

Who's to say he wont still be a quality player at 33?

We may get more out of him and at the price being bandied about seems a good deal for us.

Afterwards we could loan him to our neighbours.

Mata just put a picture on Instagram

Mata put a picture up modelling some watches as well. I’m guessing it’s that.

I suspect he's getting paid about 300k not 500k. They've been talking about a 35 mil sign on fee which divided by 4 years, then 52 weeks is 168k a week so journos are probably adding them both together to get the 500 for sensationalism.

We are not paying 35mil sign on fee that report was about City if they got him for free in summer anyways these Journalist are most probably speculating they have created a narrative of Sanchez joining United simply for money so it's just continuation of that.

I think it's more likely that he'll decline, albeit only slightly. Very few players who rely on speed, power and skill in the ways Sanchez does are at their best at 33, especially when they've been playing regularly since 16 like Sanchez has. We'll have the same problems with Aguero and Fernandinho if we're not careful.

Inside right wing I would guess, drifting around the front like Mata does.

He will basically replace Mata in first 11.
That would be my guess. I follow the Chilean national team pretty closely, and he used to be more on the right there, though he has been on the left for them the last couple of years. I think for Chile at least it's because their other options for the right are better than other options for the left, and their right full back (Isla) is a better attacker than the left FB (Mena or Beausejour). The drawback to him playing on the right is that he can't cut in to shoot on his preferred foot. However, I think he can provide more chances for others from the right.

But as you said, he'll drift around a lot, which fits well with our other attackers behind Lukaku that are always interchanging.

Smalling? When Jones has looked a class above him?

You're seriously squabbling over which centre-backs we play? Has it not been obvious for a long time that the answer is "whichever ones happen to be fit"? I gave up worrying about who is best a long time ago, just as long as we have about 6 options to provide adequate cover.

Was about to roast you for having such a negative outlook on such an exciting new signing, then I saw who you supported.
