Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

I still don't see what all the fuss is about with Sanchez. He's 29 and his attitude over the last year or so at Arsenal leaves something to be desired. Whatever way this turns out, I'm glad we're no longer in the mix.

You forgot his tapping-up alexis. Amazing how that went under the radar. He talked a lot about him( but " he doesn't talk about other players")

I think everyone views him as being perpetually young because of how long ago he broke through, and because he's not really developed as a player at all since he was like 19. Suppose it's more understandable when you remember his initial breakthrough is nearing a decade and a half ago though.

Additionally - saw today he's made more appearances under Wenger at Arsenal than anyone else. Thought that was a slightly mental stat all things considered.
 
Very good player, we need him more than city. My issue is the same thing I criticised him for when I thought he was city bound. Behaved like a teenager this season according to some sources. Also not as good as many seem to think and has very patchy spells of form. All that said I'd welcome him here and he'd also be able to play in champions league

He's easily as good - if not better - than Coutinho, who was fetching £150m. Obviously Coutinho's younger and hence will go for more money but I don't think Sanchez, even at the age of 29, would be going for about half that price. Especially with the manner in which the market is currently inflated.

Have to say you’re being very restrained in your assessment here! I’ve been moaning ever since LVG that we didn’t really have any players on the level of Sanchez/Hazard/de Bruyne. Sanchez is easily one of the best players in the league. Heck, people complain about Özil, but even he’s up there when on song. Only my opinion of course, but Coutinho is nowhere near as accomplished (yet). Was my opinion when they were new at Arsenal, and will still be true for me whether he goes to City or us.
 
José won't say a thing in his presser. Setting yourself up for disappointment if you think he will.

He was on the inside with the ADM transfer in fairness. He was smug as feck about though, even wrote an article afterwards on how to get a big transfer scoop,

If we are being used I would expect him to deny rumours. If he says we don't talk about other players then it is a clear indication we are in for him and our name isn't being used to hike up the cash

Exactly what i want to say. I am glad that United are in for him as he is a quality player, however if he has his mind made up to play for City and is joining United just to get away from Arsenal, i am not sure how happy he will be here (if he does come)

Hopefully it is not true and Sanchez will come and win a lot with United.

I remember he broke the story about Ronaldo already has a contract with Real Madrid a year before Ronaldo actually joined Madrid.
I honestly believe him a bullsh!tter though who claimed some limelight with all this Guardiola Book...

Was just reading bluemoon and one poster said how he wishes city would pay whatever it takes to sign him and it would be a great boost to a thin squad.... thin squad?

Just spoke to someone who sells Caseillero del Diablo. They told me they’re preparing A big marketing with Man Utd and Alexis. Bloke works at my local off license.
 
I refuse to get drawn into this (first time even in the thread), but the speed at which this thread is growing is quite incredible to watch.
