No way should we be going anywhere near this.

The guy's been a brilliant player but he's 32 now and must be on the decline. Plus he's got this tax case hanging over him (although he'll end up getting a fine and a suspended sentence, as Messi has).

Even at his age he'd cost £60m in today's market, so if we bought him we'd have allowed Real to have him for his peak years for a net fee of £20m. I know we've done a lot of daft things recently but this would be the ultimate cock-up.

Let PSG or one of the other plastic clubs take him. We're better off concentrating on young, up-and-coming players who could one day emulate Ronaldo. The ship has sailed on the real thing.

Morata+Cristiano=280m€ and a hot deal!,reach 300 and get James too
Nah, you keep the Moratta, I've been told he's only backup because you've got BBC playing, so obviously he'll walk into your first team, why would you guys let go of a player that's rated so highly by Redcafe and yourselves? No it's alright, we'll make do with just Ronaldo.

Have you seen him play this season? If that's a decline then I hope it continues at United.

It would cost an absolute fortune, but it would completely change our club. We created a lot of chances last year, we'd create even more with him around... and he is possibly the best the world has ever seen. Can you imagine if Martial got back in form, and was basically unmarked because everyone's so worried about Ronaldo? It would take our attack up several levels, and other good players would want to come too.

Ronaldo this year, Zlatan in January, Griezmann next summer ;)

p.s. Who cares about "getting sucked in" if it doesn't happen (which it probably won't) we'll all live, but lets live in a world of possibilities until then!

It isn't believable anymore to just flirt with us for a pay rise, because we have all seen it before. Now in order to get a pay rise he has to go that bit further and more dramatic. Still, I don't believe it. Make no mistake about it, if Ronaldo wanted to leave he would himself make his decision public exactly like he did when he was at United. He can feck off, and I hope we aren't stupid enough to get drawn into this bullshit once again with him.

We have spent close to half a billion and we're still miles off looking like champions, spend £200m on Ronaldo and he'd turn us into champions in his first season. One man team, bring it on.

I think it's all about how disrespectful Spain has been to him, so he said emotionally: "I'll feck off elsewhere if you don't fix your sh!t right now", kinda thing.

what do you mean?
He has a tax case pending and the article says he's angry at being used as an example.
The only way he believes that is if he's been living under a rock these past few years.
Imo, this is a veiled threat to get the club on his side and be prepared to compensate him if he loses anything.

Just to PSA again:

The latest update is not from A Bola. A Senior sub editor for MARCA is claiming he was told this in a recent conversation.

This is no place for common sense! Resign immediately!

Doesn't sound like previous years. I get the impression that this is the end for his Madrid career. The fact that it has come outnumber of nowhere means that something big has happened and he has to go.

It would be the perfect signing for Woodward and he would obviously love to play for us again...

I'm going to guess that Mourinho could be put off though. They don't get on, right?

How much would anybody pay for a 32 year old, it'll be an incredible short-term signing, but it's not without risk for the price he'll likely fetch. £80m?

Maybe he feels he'll be outshone by Mbappe's arrival & fee?

He's obviously looking for a raise to cover his Tax bill. It seems like Ronaldo and Messi get new contracts every 18 months, they must sign one and then immediately start negotiations for the next one.

What is better value? 180m for a 32 year old Ronaldo or 100m for Lukaku?

Sanctity, like a cat, abhors filth.
If he did leave Madrid, and assuming his relationship with Mourinho ruled us out, how many other clubs would realistically be in contention? PSG? Would Bayern be interested? Would he consider City?

He will cost 200m+ not sure it'll be financially viable for a 31 year old. Imagine his wages too

Think he will calm down and change his mind.
32.
Signing him doesn't make any financial sense whatsoever.
