Not buying it one bit, but obviously if he is to leave we should be at the front of the queue to bring him back. I'll always hold a shred of hope that he may return, however perverse that may be.

I'd love to see him back for a couple of seasons but cannot see it happening and whether it would even make financial sense, only God knows.

If Di Marzio chips in, then it might have some credit.

This happens almost every feckin summer so why should this be any different? He'll get a new contract soon.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. We have a Tory government. The top footballers have wealth in the tens of millions. With that kind of cash under a Tory government, you never have to pay tax again.

Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar - are you boys listening?

Let's bring back the tax dodging goal machine! Oh wait, it's that time of the year when he wants a new contract.

If this is true, might be the most mental 24hrs for football in last few years.

He should blame his agent/financial advisors instead being so upset

Yeah it's obvious to everyone with a brain cell that he's just looking for a new contract.

Even if he did leave, I find it hard to see him reuniting with Mourinho

In seriousness, CR isnt going anywhere that will hamper his chances of winning the Ballon D'or which a move to United would do. I expect him to go to the MLS but not for another 2-3 years. This will be him playing his cards for one last big contract at Madrid, probably on around £600,000 a week.

Nope, don't believe a word of it.

And as if Madrid would leave the best player in the world leave on a reduced fee or out of gratitude because of his age or any other such nonsense.

As mental as this might sound, he won't be worth what he will cost.
Agree. They should have a Rooney problem with him to be fair.

ie Nobody can afford to pay his transfer fee AND wages.

He's a guarantee for just two seasons. He'll want a 4 year contract. Something will have to give and it would probably be his transfer fee.

Anyone who falls for this shit again, deserves the crushing disappointment coming to them.

Its like the football Gods love trolling us Manchester United fans during transfer windows. I know, we could be worse, we could have had Arsenal's transfer windows, but crap like this every year just makes you throw your laptop away.

I can't see how this would be financially possible so I'm not going to get pulled into this one.

180m for a 32 year old, he would probably be like zlatan and go on for another 4 years but still. On top of that his wages would make it bonkers.

If he does go then I can only see that it would be PSG.

This doesn't have anything to do with us.

If he spends 4-5 years here than I can definitely see him overtaking Rooney's record. Imagine being top scorer at both Manchester United and Real Madrid.
